    Hoover self-propelled WindTunnel u64xx

That black one... that and my grandfathers Heritage II were the first vacuums I used

What the best/your favorite "mainstream" vaccums and brands?

Thanks for your replies. I see a lot praise for Shark and Hoover here. I don't really hear of much talk about third React line but from the looks of it they seem to be more Shark-like. Speaking of which... while I wouldn't replace my Kirby with it I I'd love to see Shark make a bagged version...

Why have vacuum attachments gotten so dinky over the years?

A pet peeve of mine is stuff dusting brushes. Like seriously some of the things are like a scrub brush you'd use for cleaning a tub not dusting delicate surfaces

What the best/your favorite "mainstream" vaccums and brands?

Probably a weird question to ask but... say you had to pick a vacuum you'd find at most Wal-Marts and Targets where mostly the only brands you see like Bissell, Hoover, Dirt Devil, and Shark (guess you can add dyson too?)... which of those brands would you chose and which model? Don't really...

Which is better? Bagged or Bagless

As person who suffers from dust allergies... Bagged all the way. The only exception is I have for are my quick pick up vacuums (dont really have choice except for the Oreck pod) like my Bissell Ion Adapt which I just use for picking small messes like snack spills. No matter the dust cup size...

Spinscrub 50 vs Proheat Revolution 2x Pet

Update After comparing carefully I I found the Bissell to be better better in some aspects two important to me. Tank sizes on both was is one gallon. Bissell's looks smaller but holds the same on the clean tank. I think dirty tank on the Hoover holds a liiiittle but more due to its shape but...

Spinscrub 50 vs Proheat Revolution 2x Pet

Currently have a Spinscrub 50 and am getting a Proheat Revolution for free straight from Bissell (not sure why but I'm not questioning it) am wondering what machines you prefer. Both have gallons tanks but Hoover's design while flimsier than the older models has stay pretty much the same and...

Kirby Shampooer leaving rugs and carpet rough/flat

I believe its Nylon. It's still really soft on about less than 1/4 of it but the parts I took pictures of feel almost as flat and rough as commercial carpeting

Kirby Shampooer leaving rugs and carpet rough/flat

Late update but felt it was worth mentioning Bought a Hoover Spin Scrub 50 and it managed to definitely pull out some dust judging by the grey water but it failed to soften the carpet. Thinking about trying out a Bissell Pro Heat 2X but not sure if it'll work or if o should just keep the Hoover

Kirby Shampooer leaving rugs and carpet rough/flat

A big thing I noticed is that I'm getting a foam but not that thick white blanket. I cleaned the suds screen and filter so it shouldn't be that only two things I can think of is the tank is damaged or my water is too hard.

Kirby Shampooer leaving rugs and carpet rough/flat

Update after vacuuming several times... The new shampoo helped a little bit but the carpet remains "crispy" or rough. It's kinda hard to tell from the photos but you can tell a little bit where it almost looks a bit matted.

Kirby Shampooer leaving rugs and carpet rough/flat

One more thing.... I should be noted the rugs never get real dirty just needed to freshen them up and the only thing that was ever spilled on them was unsweetened iced tea

Kirby Shampooer leaving rugs and carpet rough/flat

Quick update... Bought new shampoo and it foamed btter than the last one but didn't seem as uh... smooth as here but I made sure to use 2oz of shampoo per line of warm water and cleaned out the suds screen. Wating on it to dry but the crusty parts still feel crusty and the soft parts still...

Kirby Shampooer leaving rugs and carpet rough/flat

Been using my Ultimate G Diamond with a G4's shampoo system and I'm pretty sure I followed the instructions correctly but even after going over it again and again the rugs (which I never even walk on with my shoes) which are pretty much like a standard texture carpet and even after vacuuming...

Best and largest cordless shop vacuum.

My father and his coworkers move pallets for a plastic plant and sometimes when moving them the bags on the pallets bust spilling the rice sized plastic pellets everywhere and they wanted to know what was the best cordless shop vacuum that can quickly pick a large amount of pellets without...

The most frustrating vacuum video on Youtube.

@vexorgtr This. Reminds of the guy who argued with me that apple is "smart" for making theirs iOS devices compatible with expandable storage and why you shouldn't think otherwise. That and his use of the words "evidence" "facts" "scientific and the term "light-years ahead" make want to rip my...

    Better Dirt Devil G bags?

@huskyvacs Yep, it's got wooden (not hardwood) brush roll and its pretty powerful too! I mean there were few questionable decisions they made when redesigning it from the Original HandVac but it's still pretty good. It would great if someone made better bags for it because I don't see no...

    Better Dirt Devil G bags?

Its Dirt Devil Ultra (Kinda cheap but it's a fun little vac) that was made around 2017 so it definitely made to use bags. I mean I'm expecting HEPA filtration but this is little crazy to where inside the outer bag has light coating of dust.

    Better Dirt Devil G bags?

I don't know if the the bags are just garbage or if I got a bad batch and they're leaking but they're just SPEWING dust out. Just look how the fabric bag and inside looks from just one 1/4 filled bag. Anyway, does anyone know if any 3rd party brands like FilterBuy or Filtire are any better?
