My last two Hoover 63s ready for good homes

You asked about that Kirby 515? It is one of the very favorites of my collection and a highly appreciated birthday present from a dear friend last year. The 515 came to me beautiful and looking like new, fresh from a professional metal polisher's workshop. Now, thanks in part to Bill...

My last two Hoover 63s ready for good homes

Hi Bill: Sorry, that 515 is not for sale! First, I checked my usual sources and they didn't have the part. Then I decided to email the Kirby rebuild service since I knew they'd have to have it. Here's their response: "Hi, We do not sell the internal parts, you can have it rebuilt by us if...

Thanks Charlie! Just last night I was looking at your restoration of the Kirby 508. Beautifully done as always! It made me realize that I am missing the fiber board baffle that mounts in front of the field coil on the 515 I'm working on right now. Two questions: 1) Got a spare??? 2)...

That's a Kirby 515, one of my favorites. I'll show you more pics as soon as I have it reassembled. I took a notion to dismantle it late yesterday to give the motor the full "treatment."

My last two Hoover 63s ready for good homes

That Lark Fellow collector and dear friend, John Pease gave me a model 12 Lark several months ago. It was in need of some serious TLC. The cord was brown AACK!, the bag was in a bad way, the little ball for the switch was missing. The entire rear cover plate for the switch was missing too, but...
