    New copycat Dyson cordless

For the millionth time.... Hoover in Australia is used under licence by Godfreys - they source from TTI, Candy, and their own products. Hoover is only used on floor care/air care and not on major appliances here. The Hoover and vax models have digital motors - the Vax was on display at our...

Tacony "Made in America" Claim challenged by FTC

China EU Just my 2c: China is really no longer a poor manufacturer, the reality is that, countries such as Bangladesh, Indonesia, India and Turkey are now the default cheap countries in which to build products. China has moved from strength to strength and I recall reading an article a few...

    Mieles made in China

Toploaders in Aus It varies on the store - there is more GP$ in a Top Loader (because they are made of Almuninum foil, white paint and a cheap motor) so some store push them - Our store looks at a bigger picture and we sell 20-1. All the staff in the appliance department have Front Loaders, and...

    Mieles made in China

Made where? I think these days, that there is still certainly a place for premium products that are made in Europe or America. In Australia, people always do ask where things are made, it doesn't always sway the decision - but things in the higher price end of their catagory can struggle if...

does the uk care about deep cleaning? WHAT DO YOU THINK

Australia is interesting too.... Because we follow the european appliance market more than the American - we have too made a shift towards straight suction and turbo heads - however what is interesting here is that there is a group of people who were exposed through the likes of Electrolux...

So... The best powerhead for hard floors?

Just a thought while vacuuming today, so many vacuums have powerheads that are awful to use on hard floor surfaces! I generally am the one who switches the heads over for the better result and ease of use - while using my Hoover Platinum Bagless canister this morning though, I just went and used...

Sauber trying to come to the US

OOOHH oooooh I have the example I was looking to use... Holden (gm) and Isuzu sell a vehicle here called the Colorado/D-Max. These vehicles are manufactured in a shared facility BUT by two different companies - IE in Australia Holden is GM and Isuzu are a separate entity with no financial tie...

Sauber trying to come to the US

Eureka Prince... At the end of the day, they could do what they want - they'd have to buy the units from lux anyways, and they'd have to find a retailer or set up a whole new sales channel and Aus is pretty jam packed with vacs and to find a retailer other than godfreys to sell vacs over $1000...
