I'm very glad to see the Type C bag returning to the high end model, and being the standard bag across the canister model line. Its so cool that a bag design that has been in use for 57 years will once again reign supreme.
As I was going over my Dyson DC15 that I'm selling, I was looking at the paperwork with it. While flipping through the round Quick Guide, I noticed that the drawings show the handle on backwards. I then noticed that stock photos on ebay, that were full color images, were the same way. Were any...
It was a suprise to me too. I highly encourage people to do patent searches, not just because you learn who designed your favorite stuff, but it's just a lot of fun too. In the past, I have done patent threads, and they were not too well received. I'm not sure if its the technical language...
I doubt that what you did was the cause of the problem. I'm wondering if something got caught behind the fan. If this is the case, it might have the problems that you describe, and you might not see anything in the fan. If this is the case, you need to dig in to the machine some more to get to it.
The other problem that I can think of, if it has an aftermarket motor is the tube that runs from the motor opening to the bag chamber not being installed properly. I guess a gasket issue with the original motor would also do it.
I suppose an electrical problem could also cause these symptoms...

Glad to see you back around Charles.
With that Hoover, I'd go so far as to say that not only are Hoover Convertibles with cord winders rare, but cord winders are a rare feature on uprights in general. The only other brands I can think of that included cord winders are Eureka and Singer.
Its...
I think it could be a fair bit trickier than a Sanitare type cleaner, since this is a not an old style Eureka, but an horizontal shaft Bravo style machine. From my readings about this machine, your issues are common.
Since I don't own any, I'd have to go just by appearance. I think the model 70 would be my choice. Blue is a good color. I might also like the light blue full hood model, don't know the number for that one.
They're still alive and kicking. I'd imagine they might be doing some site renovations or something like that.
This link might make some people a bit sick, so be careful.

My guess is that last thing is a real Aerus design. The headlight and front looks like the same as the 1990s ultralux canister and the lighted models since. I've never seen that before now. Very interesting. I think this is the first full size dirty air design Lux USA has released that has true...
To my knowledge, the heritage 2 - legend 2 were mechanically the same unit. There might be minor differences, but nothing huge. I would imagine it will work. Personally, I think the legends had better colors, and the HII was a fairly bland cleaner.
Oh, so its a mini tank cleaner then? I never knew douglas had such a thing. So I'm guessing its something like this:
