CUSTOMERS LOVE THE BAGLESS KIRBY CONVERSION

Devil's Advocate I might regret this, but I'm going to jump in here and look at this from the prospective of an calm, cool, and logical non Dyson influenced vacuum collector that just happens to be a student of Engineering Technology. For starts, I have not used this device, but see it as...

    I Need Help

I'd guess you have a problem with the swivel connector on the PN itself. I think this was a common problem with this design.

    Eureka Victory Series

So, online vacuum hunting today brought me to thinking about the old Eureka Victory upright vacuums, especially the bagged models. I've never used one, but I see no reason why they would be a bad cleaner. Their clean air (I think), bagged, lower amps (not all are 12 amps), the unique back saver...

    Electrolux model 1453

Was the foam between the motor and the plastic motor cover? If so, then I doubt that is your problem. I'd be looking between the motor and bag case.

    Electrolux model 1453

This machine opens from the back. Two screws on the back if I remember correctly. The the motor is removed with 4 nuts just like a 1205 - Ultralux machines. The side bumpers on metal cleaners have no role in holding the machine together. I'd guess the seal between the fans and the bag case is...

    Christmas in August

Very nice. Never seen that branding before. Is that blue color the standard blue for a 800 or 880 series machine or is it slightly different? Either way, its very attractive, and more eye catching than usual.

    Vintage Bojack Vacuum Cleaner Bags

What's really interesting is that neither model is actually using a Hoover! In the first picture she is using something I can't identify, but the floor brush looks like a Shetland Lewyt design. In the second picture you have what looks like a pair of Eurekas. Not a Hoover in sight! These days...

    eBay Funnies

Good question. The q&a at the bottom is even stranger than the price itself. Now, what came first, the high price, or the suggestion by someone that it was worth a fortune? And then one has to think, what it the motive of the person who asked the question / commented? Either way I really doubt...

1932 Delco Vacumatic 32 volt DC - For Sale

Yes, that looks like it. Interesting body shape. This type of cleaner can be quite effective considering its simplicity. As a fellow Hoover dustette owner, you probably know what I'm talking about. Actually, I've never seen the patent for Delco cleaners. I must have missed the ones that you...

1932 Delco Vacumatic 32 volt DC - For Sale

That is one slick vacuum. As a big GM fan, I'd love to have one some day, but it will be a while. It will probably be around the same time I get that '58 Buick I think about a lot. What would be even cooler would be to get the hand held model (saw one on ebay once) to clean my car with. Anyone...

    Electrolux Model G Restoration

Final: Wrapped the prong and wire with electrical tape, and attached the extra wire to the original with a twist on wire connector. Too bad the image is blurry. I might have to rip into it again to get another shot of it. Completed project pics will be posted later.

    Electrolux Model G Restoration

Another View: I was worried about the wires coming from the lower of the two screws was too close to the metal body, but that's how they designed it, so that's how I left it.

    Electrolux Model G Restoration

Edgar: I also have a model L. If I find the time I'll dig into it and take some pictures. I think its wired differently then the Model G, but I'm not 100% sure. Speaking if wiring, I ended up with a issues with the connector I was going to fix. Instead of making it tighter, I broke completly...

And that's it for today. I plan on finishing Wednesday.

    Electrolux Model G Restoration

The inside of cordwinder. I like the way this is setup. Its not fully enclosed like on the 1205 and newer metal canisters. It also has a distinct sound, which I hope is normal. I'd guess its the locking mechanism making the noise.

Top removed. The white wire will need to have its connector crushed a bit as it was loose on its prong.

    Electrolux Model G Restoration

My late style blue Electrolux Model G arrived today. This is one of the free vacuums from Greg Bushman. On first inspection it is in good mechanical condition, and looks pretty good too. So, I just had to start working on it. I don't plan on doing anything too crazy, so the motor is staying in...
