    Electrolux's Finest- PRE 1980

No doubt, XXX's and G's are headliners in this group ...and I'm fortunate enough to have multiple incarnations of each. Both are great machines, but although I do not have a production tally of G's manufactured, I venture to say neither the G's nor any other vacuum that comes to mind would...

    Cooliest small vacuum ever seen

Fore-runner Nice Vac! That was the fore-runner to the GE/Premier Vac-Kit of the 30's, I believe, that has been on The Forum not too long ago! (The earlier ones were a round TANK as opposed to the GE Tidy being essentially square.) They're fun! RB

will the real electrolux please stand up !

More Lux Stories! Here, Here! The connection you have through your Dad is great to hear (of) and any 'inside stories' would be "manna from heaven" for those of us that imbibe Electrolux (too!) I have my feet firmly planted in two camps, Electrolux and Hoover, and have been fortunate enough to...

    Vintage Vacuums and Dusting Frequency

a case of killing the patient Depends if you want a clean patient (or one with back problems!) Please know I am saying this in jest or 'tongue-N-cheek', being an avowed Hoover and Electrolux fan. I did have a Kirby once.... Rick B

    Vintage Vacuums and Dusting Frequency

Carbon Dust There is a solution to this! Electrolux vacuums from 1930 to 1957 (models XII to AE) have exhaust filtration (done away with on the AF later in 1957). It really does capture both dust having escaped the bag ('Dirt Trap' in Electrolux jargon) PLUS carbon dust being emitted. At...

Todays Finds : A Hoover 63 and a Royal Handvac

The 63 series was Hoover at its finest!! At least that's my opinion. They are such awesome machines (all 5 of them) and yours appears to be very, very well taken care of. The bag and cord speak volumes (at least to me. At least I don't hear 'voices!' LOL) Rick B

    Hoover 638

Hoover 638 Very nice find, David. This series is among my favorite and they are nearly bullet-proof! Enjoy it. Rick

An Aerus dealer shows a Model T Electrolux...

Today's stuff is, well....lacking It IS indeed! The newest cleaner I use in my house is a Hoover 719, among the last of the 'real convertibles' plus a Lux 30 as my daily drivers. Imagine most any machine manufactured anytime recently being in use in 45-60 years and running as well as it did...

An Aerus dealer shows a Model T Electrolux...

Model 'T' or THRIFT The 'T' was made for a relatively short time in 1956. They literally have an 'LX' handle (remnants?) and untilize the 30/XXX cloth Bag and have the 'full-sized' 535-watt motor. While most came with a traditional Belden cord and plug (as did the E and AE and previous...
