    Vintage Hose Ends Removal

Is there an easy way to remove vintage hose ends from the hose blank? I have an Air-Way model Mark II with the saran hose. The hose looks great but has low suction to say the least. Sorry guys, I see no reason to keep a bad hose for display purposes only and I am not interested in repairing it...

    Miele U1 - Red

Way over-priced ...in my opinion and way over-engineered! More clumsy than a Kirby and just as heavy if not heavier. Miele has a big ass when it comes time for the price of their parts. Overall, I am not impressed with my S7210. Glad I never purchased it new!

    Just acquired a Heritage 1HD

Just and FYI about the grey bag with red "K's" Human... I believe that the bag that came with your Heritage was used as the Kirby universal bag replacement at that time. I had a Classic III that was redone by Kirby and that is what they put on in when I requested the paper bag setup...

    Miele Canister Electric Hose

Thank You Thanks Hershel, for your input. Actually, I referenced the wrong model though I do have the S246i. I need the hose for a model S248i. By the way, Miele may be a great vacuum, but it's way over-priced and over engineered. Their parts and accessories are based on MAP pricing. I...

    VCCC NEWSLETTER INFO/UPDATE!!!!!!!

    All My Hoover Convertibles

The weird sound you describe Hi Tom! The sound that your 65 makes may be due to new motor brushes that were installed before you got it. I would ask the seller if you can. They may not have disclosed this when they sold it. Wouldn't hurt to ask. If the brushes are new, it will take a little...

Kirby Ratchet Pedal Problem - How To Fix?

Glad to help! Hey Guys! This has just been my experience. It does make sense that you should grease interlocking gears, but in this case the gears are not operating at any great speed--they're just a notch or stopping point. So, is grease really necessary?

Kirby Ratchet Pedal Problem - How To Fix?

The reason why The reason why you don't want to grease the height control mechanism is because the grease is what causes the slipping. This is what I have been told. Greasing the mechanism would also attract more carpet fuzz and dirt to stick to the metal.

Kirby Ratchet Pedal Problem - How To Fix?

I've had the same issue I've had the same issue with several Kirbys over the years and discovered that someone at some time tried to grease the height adjustment mechanism which is what caused the slipping. I was told by a Kirby repairman that the height adjuster should not be greased (or...

    Kirby G5 Handle Question

Regarding the metal black screw... I thought the same! Seems like they were trying to cut corners somewhere. OR, it could have been a supply/manufacturing issue that needed another alternative.
