I'm not impressed with mine, an okay cleaner... I purchased a Self-Propelled Windtunnel Upright in June from Sam's Club, Model # U6485300B. http://hoover.com/products/details/u6485300b/self-propelled-windtunnel-bagged-upright/   I'm not overly impressed with it...especially all the plastic...

Thanks Yes, I would have to agree that the quality on the earlier models was most likely better. Was the first Windtunnel Upright released in 1996?!?! I believe it was the burgundy model and Hoover even had a TV infomerical on it's launch...at least in NY there was an infomercial... I hope...

Congratulations... I picked up the same model, mint condition on E-Bay last month...I love this vacuum. I'm on the hunt now for a TOL Spirit... Enjoy and Happy Hoovering... :)

I find it very interesting how companies recycle names...that 1962 Kenmore Whispertone is so cool...
