    Vac-U-Finder, I do believe I stated in my above postings that John Gregory would not take payment for the work and parts done to my machine. He is truly a wonderful friend. So your assumption of price total, while probably accurate for any other vac shop, does not hold to my machine.

    All done! It's late now and tomorrow will be hectic, so this one will have to wait for the weekend for her maiden voyage. When I take this one for a spin, I'll make a thread about the new Platinum Series upright that John so generously gifted to me.

    Isn't that brushroll great looking? Every beautiful cleaner needs a good brushroll.

    It runs beautifully and only the brushroll needed a little attention. It received new end caps, bearings, and bristles. These end caps were a little bit crusted.....Penncrusted, one might even say.

    I wasn't the only visitor John had to the store in the last week. Last Friday, Robert Coonradt and his partner dropped by for a visit. Robert was very kind to bring John two beautiful Convertibles. First, we have this orange and white model from the early 80s.
