I do not own it. However, it is sold on costco.com, and there are currently N=1512 reviews available. Member price is $500. Claims to have up to 80 minutes run time. https://www.costco.com/lg-cordzero-charge-plus-cordless-rechargeable-vacuum.product.100432890.html

    Any Aerus News?

Hello Tom, Congratulations on the sale. Do you know whether Aerus/Lux plans to continue to produce vacuums? I agree they make quality vacuums. Thanks.

Vacuum cleaner pick up tests on carpet

Regarding the uncleanable rug on the concrete floor, I have to wonder if the problem is the concrete releasing dust rather than never ending dirt in the rug?

Vacuum cleaner pick up tests on carpet

I saw the video, but I don't think your argument was very convincing. You weren't even running a fair scientific test. You didn't even reference any valid scientific test methods. All tests have their limitations, and much thought goes into ones that are truly scientifically valid. Tests are...

Anyone have this in the bright red color?

Not sure if this is what you're looking for. It's not my ad. https://jonesboro.craigslist.org/fuo/d/osceola-beautiful-black-chair-plus/7119382377.html

    New Aerus pricing question

I have to second the upvote for the Lux Sidekick. I dropped mine on the hardwood floors and the brush roller was dislodged from the grooves. I was afraid I had broken it. But I removed the screws, cleaned the brush roll, and put the roller back in place and it was good as new. it's a tough...

Suppose You Discovered That Your Favorite Vacuum

I would keep in mind that none of them is going to remove all of the dirt, and not worry too much. Given that many of us have tile and wood floors, there's really not that much concern.

    Filthy Riccar Vibrance

How is the bag held in place? Is it just a friction fit? One possibility is that the bag came off the bag "holder". Happened to me once on my 7 series. It would be nice if there was something to lock the bag in place.

Kirby Shampooer leaving rugs and carpet rough/flat

It would be more accurate and politically correct to say the Kirby was ineffective at removing the Georgia mud, rather than calling it "junk".

Why are a lot of indoor/outdoor vacs ear-piercingly loud?

See linked article for quiet shop vacs. You pay more for quiet. https://soundproofnation.com/quiet-shop-vac/

    What to get for hardwood?

The Simplicity Jill / Riccar Sunburst vacuums are within your price range and have a decent floor tool. https://www.vacuumcleanermarket.com/simplicity-jill-bagged-canister-vacuum-cleaner.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwY__0oGA6AIVxkXVCh110QSpEAAYASAAEgKy-PD_BwE

Not worth it: Riccar/Simplicity tandem air uprights

I always thought the tandem machines were too much of a gimmick and a Rube Goldberg design. While you may attain some advantages of both direct air and bypass designs, you also get the disadvantages and a lot more complexity. They should have substantially increased the amount of US made...

    My New Rainbow SRX 🌈

I have no idea if the interest rate is typical, but a writer on reddit (see link) says that he/she was charged around 20% interest on their Rainbow purchase. This unfortunate person could not afford payments and was facing late penalties every month. Be sure to understand the terms of any...

    Simplicity 7 Series

Just wanted to thank Tom Gasko for the excellent explanation for changing the belt on my Simplicity 7850. The manual is absolutely pathetic. Your pictures and explanation were light years ahead.

Kirby Sentria 2 not outcleaning a rainbow e2 black

Rainbow may make a better quality machine than Sirena, but the power nozzle designs have been flawed. I have not tested the latest Rainbow, so I cannot comment on that one. I do trust the carpet and rug institute tests. I’m not surprised that a Wesselwerks power nozzle would improve the...

Kirby Sentria 2 not outcleaning a rainbow e2 black

When I had my first Rainbow demo, the poor salesman was very frustrated because he barely got anything out of my rugs. I opened up the Rainbow power nozzle and noticed that dirt was sitting in the bottom of the power nozzle as well as some carpet fibers. It was obvious that the vacuum had been...

Kirby Sentria 2 not outcleaning a rainbow e2 black

Like many Rainbow owners you have been conditioned to "feel" that it is the most amazing vacuum on the planet. That doesn't make it true. Perhaps the dirt in your home is special, that is, the mass is such that the frequency of oscillation of the Rainbow brush roll is near the resonance...

Rexair Rainbow trademarks SRX name - could new machine be coming very soon?

Of course you do. Rainbow has exceptional marketing. Buy it or the giant dust mites will eat you alive. Run it 24 hours a day or your glass of water will be mud. It will pay for itself because you won’t have to buy bags or filters. It’s the only vacuum that works.

Rexair Rainbow trademarks SRX name - could new machine be coming very soon?

Rainbow is a lot like Cutco in that it uses a lot of people to take advantage of their friends and family. I said "earn" a Rainbow not a "free Rainbow", because my understanding is that the terms are not easy and many people fail. You must do a strictly counted number of demos to "qualified"...
