Miele or Riccar or something else

Just curious what don't you like about your Rainbow E-2? Did you purchase the Rainbow E-2 new? What don't you like about it? What features if any do you like? What is your price range? What kind of flooring do you currently have? I will say that the Rainbow sales pitch uses Jedi mind...

why do they still make this machine?

I agree that Sanitaire should have improved the dirt collection system. In all fairness, doesn't Miele makes a single cyclone bagless canister?

    Parents new Rainbow

Just curious, when you buy a Rainbow on credit with the 18-24%???? interest rate, what is the final cost of the Rainbow - over $5000? Might be better off returning it and buying the previous model on amazon or vac store. Dave Ramsey would likely say to only buy it if you can afford to pay cash.

    The SRX has been tested

tekjunkie28 - Do you have actual measurements? Are they slightly lower, or are they significantly lower like the ones reported above?

    The SRX has been tested

so has anyone else with an SRX checked the power draw on their vacuum? Does the load increase under real world use (i.e. on carpet rather than no resistance)?

A Tier and Special tier vacuum brands

Certainly everyone has their favorites, and if you asked 100 people to make a grid/tier they would have different opinions. I could see some people placing Rainbow at the top and everything else below. Others might place their Kirby's at the top. This is VacuumDevils tier, so he can put them...

A Tier and Special tier vacuum brands

Kirby519 - Consumer Reports has added new ratings based on owner satisfaction. Kirby scored 4/10 in user satisfaction. Kirby will have to do something to improve owner satisfaction, or their sales will suffer. Perhaps they need to do informercials to market their vacuums, or perhaps they will...

    FilterQueen Curiosity

Don't get the wrong idea. I'm happy for you that you have a vacuum that you love, and that it apparently meets your needs. The fact that your brown Filter Queen is working well for you after 30-40 years is a testament to it's high quality build.

    FilterQueen Curiosity

I would disagree about any vacuum winning or losing in this situation. No valid test was conducted, and no valid conclusion can be drawn. the only fair conclusion is that there was dirt in the rug and the Filter Queen picked up some of it. Whether another vacuum would have picked up more or...

    The SRX has been tested

To those of you that sell Rainbows, have there been many changes with the sale of Rexair to Rhone Capitalists? Are there any plans to move away from in home sales?

    The SRX has been tested

I hope the venture capitalists that purchased Rexair understand the importance of building a high quality product, and the need to protect the products reputation. I have to wonder what changes the venture capitalists have made at Rexair. "On 26 February 2019 Newell Brands announced it would...

    The SRX has been tested

It's a little odd how much leakage there is in the pipes and the elbow of the power nozzle. It is a curious design with the air vents.

    Home Made Salsa

another variation that is nice is made with fire roasting the vegetables. In case you're interested, I have a link. The roasting can add a very nice smoky flavor. https://www.budgetbytes.com/fire-roasted-salsa/

    The SRX has been tested

Seems disappointing for a $3000 vacuum. Thanks for your review. It's sad that Consumer Reports hasn't rated Rainbow for several years.

    Any Aerus News?

One can quickly compare some of the features of Sebo vs Lux to get an idea of what might be missing. I don't know if either has or needs a headlight. The Lux power nozzle is a floating design vs the Sebo has height adjustment. The Sebo has a quick release brush roll for cleaning the hair off...

    Rainbow SRX V. Rainbow E series E2

I have to wonder if you would gain better performance by getting a non-Rainbow power nozzle with your current Rainbow?
