My first Kirby! GSix 2000 Limited Edition!!!

I got it from a guy living in a trailer park. My mom was like "the next time you buy something off Craigslist check to see if it is in a dirty run down trailer park first!" -oh mom, freaking out about stuff as usual. I love it though, and it will be a while before I part with it. ~Darren

My first Kirby! GSix 2000 Limited Edition!!!

Well I picked up my GSix in town as it was on Craigslist. It runs good, it's my first Kirby, and needs a good buffing. This picture was before cleaning it. I have since thrown the entire bag assembly into the washer, and the results were excellent! I have also somewhat hand polished the aluminum...

    Getting my first royal today

I know I sound like some sort of a criminal, but I prefer the Generation Series. My favorite Kirby of all time though is a Tradition. Favorite in the Generation Series is either a GSix 2000, or an Ultimate G.

Dirt Devil Extra HP - January 1995

Oops forgot to say motor brushes, not the brushroll haha. I think I'll take it to the vac shop and get it checked out, every time i have the urge to take something apart it has little chance of getting back together ;) .

Dirt Devil Extra HP - January 1995

Thankyou thankyou thankyou! Haha I just love that color! Is brush replacement on these models fairly easy, or should I just find another red handheld? There is always one at the local goodwill :) .

Dirt Devil Extra HP - January 1995

Did you get those pictures yet? And by the way my 103 Red hand vacuum started making intermitent scraping noises and if you look inside there is sparking in the motor (does not escape vacuum). Would this be normal or are the bearings, brushes, etc worn? Thanks. ~Darren

Dirt Devil Extra HP - January 1995

@floor-a-matic Correct me if I am wrong, but yes I believe the earlier Deluxe series had that edge cleaning/full width switch. The Classic and other similar models simply have the one switch that goes between the floor mode and hose mode. ~Darren

Dirt Devil Extra HP - January 1995

Thanks, Kyle. Was each color the same name or did they each have there own name? Such as red classic, light green extra high performance? Or was there a lineup of extra hps that were sold in those colors?

Dirt Devil Extra HP - January 1995

For anybody that has a bag style D machine, could you see if a Kirby cloth Micron Magic HEPA bag would fit? And how well it performs with them? It seems like it would give it a higher more powerful airflow rate, if it would fit. As they are massive bags to begin with ;). ~Darren

    Dirt Devil Micro Fresh Filtration

Hey all, just been wondering are Dirt Devil's Micro Fresh filtration bags worth the expense to someone with bad allergies? I realize HEPA is best. They clame to filter down to .1 micron, better than HEPA, but they don't say what *percentage they capture at that size. Any help regarding this...

Dirt Devil Extra HP - January 1995

As stated above, I had the red classic also. I had no idea they made a black one also??? Did it pretty much look just like the classic and the extra hp? And, it's really bugging me... What does "HP" stand for???!!! ~Darren

Dirt Devil Extra HP - January 1995

And btw Kyle, I realize your a very ambitious collector, and therefore you probably want to find the whole "Sea Foam Green" set. However, if you were to ever sell this machine, i would be an instant buyer for sentimental reasons. ~Darren

Dirt Devil Extra HP - January 1995

You flip the switch in the lower right corner and a cheap flexible plastic piece cuts the suction of going to the brushroll and diverts it to the hose. ~Darren
