The way they see it: If they're driving out to your house, hoping you're actually there and didn't forget, they want more than $25 of work to do. House cleaners are shockingly expensive. Even when they're not very good.

No vacuum on the market today loses 80% of its suction if it's maintained. Certainly not in ten minutes. If they're willing to just lie about that then why believe that they got that dirt in the home. The most irritating thing about vacuum marketing is the constant lying about competitors...

I've used the kirby version of these. I'm guessing they're similar but I don't know. They seem to work okay, not great. It seems like they really just mask the smell with more smell.

I've not had a cord problem. But kudos to you on making them fix it. If I got that much push back I'd just buy a cord online and move on.

Doubtful of UV claims Apparently, if it did have a strong enough uv light to kill germs you should be concerned about it damaging plastic and rubber items in your home. And you may need to worry about O2 production. I doubt it's powerful enough to work...

They're pretty expensive. I mean, I'd need 3. And then that would be 3 precious outlets eaten up. And they can't handle clutter, so they're useless for anyone with small kids (me). I get the idea. I doubt that it outperforms any upright that's in working order.

This is terrible But I change bags when they smell, not when they're full. They always smell after a month.

They're not testing very much there, and that dust bin test is exactly the sort of impact that plastic is made for. I'm not trying to diss Dyson, I think they're probably durable enough for the price. But a few industrial hammer and drop tests says very little.

I enjoyed that video. I love watching vacuum salesmen talk down the other guy. It's very entertaining. It'd be a total turnoff if I actually wanted to buy a machine from him. Don't tell me what mine can't do, tell me what yours can do. I'll compare them myself.

My mom traded hers for an oreck (after about 20 years of use) when they moved to a two story house. That was a "light" one from before tech drive. I'm sure people have lots of valid reasons to decide to get rid of one. Age, moving, dying, not wanting to pay to fix it.
