    Cordless Upright Water Filtration Vacuum

See, it seems like it would be good for quick clean ups, but water filtration vacs take a bit of time to set up before use and clean up after use so that would negate any time savings from being cordless. Really, it is interesting to me because I'm not sure what the target demographic of...

    Strange name

I wouldn't call them knockoffs of real brands. It's probably a brand that was made up by one of the manufacturers that the bigger brands use to sell off excess stock. We might not think about it very often, but we are past the days of brands like Hoover and Eureka being on the front of factory...

    Cordless Upright Water Filtration Vacuum

Alex... It is to me, I'm actually surprised this post hasn't gotten more attention. The same company makes one of the straight suction water filtration canisters that I've seen for sale online from time to time...

Why are cord clips on modern vacuums so flimsy?

Central vacuums are actually really simple to install in most homes, I've installed three of them. Not everyone likes them, but they really are superior to portable vacuums in tons of ways.

    Will bags make a comeback?

tolivac... Thankfully most of us know that. Really, I try to avoid Walmart for any products that I'd like to keep for a long time. Vacuums, kitchen tools, clothing, etc. But unfortunately the average consumer doesn't care. Neither my boyfriend nor his mother realized vacuum stores existed.

    Why I dislike Dyson

I always take the phrase "lifetime" with a grain of salt. It almost always means the lifetime of the product, not the owner. I recently bought a harness for my dog with a "lifetime" warranty. I wonder if they mean my lifetime or the dog's, lol.

    Fantastic Fantom Thunder

Agreed. I have my own objections to Amway beyond the CMS-1000 machine though, hence my response.

Why are cord clips on modern vacuums so flimsy?

Hoover and Bissell don't sell products that are designed to last, the cord clip breaking is just one of many parts of that. Ideally, a well-designed vacuum wouldn't need a cord clip. But Hoover and Bissell save a few cents per machine by having the cord come out of the housing right next to the...

    A Dyson Stick vacuum alternative

Looks interesting. If I need a cordless then I prefer machines with a more traditional upright design like the Shark Ion P50 (despite it being a Shark), but that's mainly because of the odd weight distribution from most machines of this stick style that I've owned in the past. Glad to hear this...

    Fantastic Fantom Thunder

The Scamway machine was produced after lying to James Dyson and using the dual cyclone technology without permission. The CMS 1000 was released around the same time as the Vectron by SJ Johnson (which was essentially a commercial Fantom Thunder). It is currently sold as the Workhorse by a...

    Cordless Upright Water Filtration Vacuum

Aha, I found a short YouTube video about it. I was correct about the bulbous piece toward the bottom, it holds the water filtration tank.

    Cordless Upright Water Filtration Vacuum

I found this recently and it looks intriguing. It's the first cordless water filtration vacuum that I've seen, and it's also a stick vac (advertised as an upright). It appears to just have a small handvac in it, and there's a bulbous piece just above the floor nozzle. I'm wondering if the lower...

    Is Regina coming back?????

Les The dust cup is to the back left of the machine, when looking at it in the photo posted above. Same placement on the Shark Rocket.

    Will bags make a comeback?

This gets to a deeper problem with our society. Discount stores like Walmart and Kmart have demanded cheaper and cheaper products from manufacturers, because it's easy to sell a wide variety of cheap products to consumers under one roof. Walmart doesn't need skilled sales people to convince...

    Better filtration for electrolux

Jo I actually did call Aerus about the issue and they mailed me some more of the blue bags. I've seen a number of people here mention it though, I'm certain Aerus is aware that I was not the only one with problems. I've used the DVC bags for a while, haven't had any problems. They're 4 ply...

    New Vacuum Cleaner Shopping

I think the height adjustment is mainly useful as the brushroll wears down. I keep mine set at 4 for most of my carpets, only the lowest pile rugs that I have cause the red light to turn on when it's set to level 4. I figure this will change as the brushroll wears down. I seem to get good...

    Is Regina coming back?????

Interesting. It does look similar to the Shark Rocket, which was an interesting machine. It's unfortunate to hear that they may be coming back with a MLM structure. That's an inherently predatory business structure and almost always results in a subpar product being sold at a high markup.

    How were these?

Adin... Oh, it's definitely junk. I'm sure it cleans reasonably well for the price at first, but the filter just sits inside the dust cup so it immediately clogs with dust.

    Vacuums on Mister Rogers' Neighborhood

I also remember the episode where they visited a Dirt Devil assembly line. Wow, I'd like to see that again if anyone finds it somewhere online.

How rare is the Broom Vac?

I used to have one, it was OK. I thought it looked cool but it was nothing special in terms of cleaning ability. I've passed up a couple of chances to get a few more since then.
