What would YOU do if you were ORECK?

I want one too As a vacuum fan and radio fan, I've wanted that Oreck for some time. It'll come to me someday... Thanks for the pix.

What would YOU do if you were ORECK?

This is a slightly different thread than the Chapter 11 bankruptcy announcement thread. ... I got to thinking... What would I do if I were ORECK ? Yeah I know, Chapter 11 is a reorganization and Oreck will survive ending up a leaner, meaner and probably smaller Oreck. However, you all are full...

    Oreck Filing for Chapter 11

I am not happy I buy a LOT of stuff from the Oreck store. I have their Oreck Classic, Ironman, Orbiter and a commercial shop-vac. Also, I buy all Oreck cleaning fluids to clean the house. This house is kept clean and the scents aren't overwhelming. The Oreck granite countertop cleaner is...

    Has anyone got/had a cleaner/maid

Once a week We have two cleaning ladies come in once a week. Simply put, we have a large house, we are both very busy and we can afford it. As far as vacuums are concerned, they use the Oreck classic for rugs and the 1967 Royal metal hand-vac for the upholstery. (... the best $5.00 NIB...

    Ping Thing

Do any of you recall the "Ping Thing" ? If I recall correctly it was a disc incorporated into the handle of a Kenmore canister that "ping-ed" whenever debris was picked up. When the pinging stopped your rugs were clean. I'm thinking this attachment was announced in the 1970's.

    Vacuum/Appliance Safety Tests

Case leakage A very important test is case leakage. A passing test ensures that insufficient current is leaking to external metal parts to shock you. I handle this issue all the time with televisions. I use either a commercial leakage meter or I make up a resistor/capacitor network coupled to...

    Milwaukee Convention

Love the support I enjoyed vacuum cleaners as a kid - picking them out of the garbage. Today I am an engineer. Thank you for supporting tomorrow's engineer in-the-making! If a club like this existed when I was young it would have given me quite the thrill!

    Vintage audio equipment

Not vintage but kinda... I'm picking up a new pair of BOSE 901s from the BOSE store today... Still available and made-to-order. Took about a month to get them. I'm revamping the hifi in the living room right now. It's a bit of a mess right now. My current speakers were goners, hence the...

    G. E. Vacuum Information

One of the worst electric shocks of my life Came from a GE swivel top... I was a young lad.. And I used to pick up vacuum cleaners on the way home from school. I never walked home on the sidewalk, always the alleys. Such fun. However, I picked up a GE swivel top - the one with the GE logo on...

For the upcoming VCCC conference in Milwaukee, is anyone staying at The Pfister? And could anyone comment on its proximity to the conference's events? FYI: The chosen hotel for the VCCC conference is attractive in every way including its price. However, other issues may be involved which may...
