Nice vintage vacuum for everyday use

I would reccomend something that was a rather common model when new and something easy to repair. I think your mention of the Wards badged Eureka is a great choice for daily use, other things I'd suggest also would be the Hoover Convertible, or if you are a canister person an electrolux like a...

What is the most amount you've spent on a vintage vac?

For me it was $250, and there were several I spent that on like my vault JCPenney Concept, my mint Citation, my mint Penncrest Convertible, and my NIB Electrolux Olympia

Very pretty Eureka there. It just seems so odd to see it in your sitting room as it seems like you have a Hoover household

    Hoover convertible 728

That is a lovely machine. I have the U4003 which s a full hooded model with that bag. I'd much rather have a 728 like that. But regardless one cant go wrong with a metal base Convertible

    best hoover vac ever made.

John, I too have to agree about the One-Fifty cleaner. I just used one for the first time at the Historical Center on Friday, it is such a dream to use so quiet and maneuvers so well, and I'm sure gets all that deep down grit. That machine is so ahead of its time. I am now on the lookout for a...

    Phillip got some new toys!!!

Those commercial Thermax Extractors are the utmost. My grandma rented those in the late 80's-mid 90's they replaced the Rinse N Vacs she had from the 70's. I they werent so expensive I'd love to have a new one, just without the power brush

John, I'm ok with surprises and waiting a bit, as I'm assuming there is something Penncrest or JCPenney involved. Sam

What great pice John, and thanks for the JCPenney shot, with what happens to be my favorite Penneys Convertible, there is just something so neat and clean about an all white Hoover in disguise. I just remember being in awe of Toms whole collection when I had the quick chance to view it, the...

    Another JC Penney Concept One

Very nice JCPenney Concept. I have the exact same model, minecame from the Hoover Vault and remains unused, mine was the very first of this model made and it was in 1982, so yours is from 1982 or maybe 83 as I'm not sure how often JCPenney changed models. This is my favorite color combo of the...
