    Hoover model 725

I debated a while to respond I'm actually embarrassed to say this, but the 105 has a plain wood handle. I have two that have the same plain Jane sticks. My 543 has a grip on the wood handle.

    Hoover model 725

105 bumper replacement possibility I have two 105's with marginal bumpers. That ribbed design is so close to what you would find on an automotive serpentine belt (the belt that drives the alternator / power steering / A/C compressor.

    Hoover shampoo-polisher Model 5460

That's not a 5460 The 5460 has a smaller housing that are formed around the brush profile. I suppose you could call that "mickey mouse ears". I don't have spare brushes for your model. I've seen your type of brushes listed on Ebay from time to time.

    royal model 193

Sherlock Holmes I'd bet that you can figure out what it was used for by the contents of the inside of the bag. If it was an eraser cleaner, it'll be full of chalk dust.

    Hoover shampoo-polisher Model 5460

Does your machine have the hexagonal shafts or the round one? If you have the hex shafts, I might have a spare hard floor set. I know that I don't have the carpet brushes.

    SUPER RARE VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE

Off topic for vacuums but I just have to share this I belong to a "german brand" motorcycle forum. A guy is trying to sell an 11 year old bike with 85,000 miles. He wants top money. His bike is not selling. He's mad because "nobody understands that having 85,000 miles is fine for this...

    SUPER RARE VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE

Feedback from friends "Antique" = my grandmother had it in the attic and it wouldn't sell at her estate sale. "Vintage" = my mother had it and wouldn't sell at her rummage sale. "Collectible" = please somebody take this junk off my hands. "Rare" = this was so bad that most were thrown away...

    SUPER RARE VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE

Can anyone define "rare"? (alternative "super rare") Can anyone define "collectible" Can anyone define "vintage" I am so tired of searching antique (defined as at least 50 years old) vacuum cleaners with wildly over optimistic statements of uniqueness.

    "Shampoo and Set"

A stain by any other name Stain removers often have a specific task. The enzyme "pet" stain remover works well on organic contamination and odors. Those types of cleaners won't work on petroleum based stains. They also don't help out colored stains such as coffee or juice. You can get stain...

Significance of 50 Foot Cord and Super Wide Nozzle Beyond Commercial Use?

Commerical applications Windsor VSP14 14" vacuums have a 40' cord. Advance Spectrum 15D has a 15" path and 50' cord. In a 300,000 sq ft college, an extra 10' of cord is a godsend. Wider nozzles are nice, but can get in the way if there are a lot of tight spots / cubicles.

Supplier for Miele S248i Carbon Brush Replacement

Options Recently, I had to find carbon brushes for a voltage regulator in a car. Replacing the alternator would have been about $200. I found an old fashioned electric motor repair shop and got an education on carbon brushes. They needed to know if the application was for an AC or DC motor...
