Apparently it was a joke Charlie! Tom has been very generous since I first met him. We would hold wonderful conversations for hours on end and he has always been rather warm and inviting. He has a vast amount of knowledge that he loves to share with the class, and a copious amount of paperwork...

It has been a long time since I have seen one of these but I do believe this option was offered from the factory for apartments and small spaces. Kind of unique in its own way, and these were very nice hand vacs to use for the time.

I was born a Lefty, and still (apparently) am as it is my dominant hand. I have tried in the past to be ambidextrous with not so much in the way of luck. I can write with my right hand it is just rather sloppy. What is weird though is that although I am left handed my Dominant foot is my right.

I actually picked one up last year at an estate sale, it is a vintage ( I want to say 60's) 3 speed reversible commercial vita mix all stainless it doesn't seem to have had a lot of use and will liquefy just about any thing you put into it.

That HEPA filter looks like you can get a few more years out of it. However if you feel the absolute need to replace it. Most of the after markets on eBay are the same and are of decent quality.

Replace the wands, if you look at the pins of the wands you will see that they have a wear pattern in them due to arcing. This has been a resolved issue and should still be covered under warranty due to the amount of issues that they have had.  Otherwise, Great find at $200!
