How to get my Miele to pick up dog hair

You can ask dysonman1 (Tom Gasko) or Greg Palmer about the perfect battery powered power head. I love mine and use it almost daily with my central vac. It’s a very rugged head based off the old L shaped electrolux heads. Another option for air driven is the Wessel Werk TK-286 turbine head, it’s...

    Repair or replace Hoover cord?

You can try soaking the cord in hot water if it’s not cracked or split, I have done this on several occasions to soften up a stiff cord. As for the green stuff, most likely it’s the start of corrosion and you might be able to clean it up with some rubbing alcohol and a wire brush.

    Filter Cleaning

“Central vacuum rich” Are you insinuating that people with central vacs are rich? Many of us who have the luxury of a central vac aren’t rich however as collectors it’s a choice weather or not we want them. There are collectors who get them used, collectors who move into homes/apartments that...

Minor (vintage) vacuum binge of 2020

If the spacers and washers are not put in correctly that will happen, also in the event that the hole in the fan is oblonged or chewed up in any shape form or fashion, consider the fan done. If you order the fans, and are willing to ship the motor, I’d be willing to do the repair in my shop the...

What would I have to change to make a 220v Constellation work in the US

You would have to change the motor (obviously) and the cord, unless you want to just put on a US replacement plug, the switch should be fine.

Huebsch... In the earlier years they were a part of electrolux Sweden. Along with Frigidaire which is still owned by Electrolux home care products. It’s funny you mention Alliance, although Wascomat isn’t an alliance product when I worked in a laundromat during my teen years the Wascomat...

Ladies and gentleman! The reading room is now open! There are no books on the shelves but there are plenty of beads to be read!

    Alex Taber..Electrolux history

Shared with me by a very good friend, written by our very own founder of the original V.C.C.C Bob (Alex) Taber! I have found this to be a very wonderful piece of reading material. I have heard that it circulated a few times in a couple of newsletters but this right here is a good “factual”...

Yes back when you and John Lucia founded the club, I remember when you told me the story when we spoke on the phone back in 2009. I don’t know if you remember the conversation but we were on the phone for about an hour and a half. You were telling me about the non electrics, I.e. Daisy...

    Eureka 2095 A

You might actually like that 3.5 amp motor. If I’m not mistaken those actually had a decent amount of power for what they were, I believe it is a pancake motor.

    Eureka 2095 A

Unless the motor is a dual speed motor I don’t think it can be done. I’d leave it original and congrats on the purchase!

    Lupe Cordless Cleaner

I remember when he did the vid on the electrolux trilobite, the first robot from electrolux. So he finally got his hands on a dyson robot? That should be something to watch! Have you checked out his other channel?

    Lupe Cordless Cleaner

I just watched this vid last night before you posted about it! Seems like a really neat design and did you see the agitation?!?! That’s the most agitation I have ever seen come from a cordless anything. I’d highly consider one of these if they came to the US market.

So I was talking with a past VCCC member from years and years ago and apparently there was a newsletter for electrolux. Here are some pics that were shared with me. How cool is it to see a newsletter of yesteryear?! Enjoy 😊

Oh, we all get that you support John as he needs all the support he can get, I’m offering a few tid bits here and there, if you want them great, if not move on. Am I stepping on any toes offering some “factual information” ? No. Nobody mentioned that you had to be part of any “newsletter war”...

I find Charles to be a great friend and also great person of knowledge, his website is what led me here years ago. The amount of information Charles Lester holds is so great that he could fill books. I really wish his site would come back. The beautiful detailed pics, the wording and information...

The Lux company in Stockholm is where it all started, let’s not forget that Lux also owned and still owns to this day subsidiary companies such as Husqvarna, Viking, Huebsch etc...Axel was an entrepreneur and a very successful one at that! Privately? Why talk privately when we can express and...
