    Today's big haul! We SCORED!

The G3 cords always discolor with age. It's a shame, because the cords are usually in good shape, but they just look like crap.

    Today's big haul! We SCORED!

Thanks! As I said, they still need checked over. Mike was having trouble getting the white Electrolux to turn on. He opened and closed the tank, and it worked, but wouldn't turn on again. We'll post an update once we get to checking them over more.

    Today's big haul! We SCORED!

@durango159 My buddy ran into a Filter Queen (he thinks) distributor around the Mount Union area who was looking to sell off his trade-ins. There were probably 15-20 more cheaper vacs that he bought from him as well that we weren't interested in. The guy told him it was about 8 months worth...

Time For More Assistance... Need a Sentria...

Depends... Odds are, the vac shop probably completely reconditioned it. They may also provide a warranty. Honestly, if I had a Sentria that I reconditioned, I'd be pushing for no less than $500. But, you'd have a machine that is almost as fresh and pretty as brand new. If you do buy one...

The duct tape... Yeah... duct tape. I haven't even looked at it yet to see how bad it really is. For $10 each, if the only thing I get from these 5 Kirbys is a bunch of parts, I'm still happy with the deal. My buddy plugged them all in, and they do all run. I still have to get shop setup in...

    Today's big haul! We SCORED!

We still have to check them all over. The only ones I got done yesterday were the two Rainbows. The one I really wanted to get from him, he wouldn't sell... Kirby Sentria for $10!!! GRRR hahaha Still, I can't thank him enough for finding this deal for me.

    Light-Weight Upright Suggestions

The Shark Navigator Lift Away Professional has my vote. We have that and the regular Lift Away - either is a great machine for the money. They'll blow away anything else in the price range.

    Today's big haul! We SCORED!

A buddy of mine has been keeping a lookout for Kirbys, and he gave me a call over the weekend with what he found. We ended up with quite a bit, and a couple unexpected treasures... 1 Heritage II Legend 3 G4 1 G3 5 Electrolux 1 Kenmore canister 1 Rainbow E-Series 1-speed - near perfect...

Update We finally used the steam mop last night - it works great on bare floors, and the handheld steamer has some good force behind it. We're very impressed with them so far. The only complaint with the Lift Away Pro mop is when using it as a portable hand steamer, it doesn't have much force...

Looking to buy a new cordless hand vac, What do you recomend?

I'm sold on the 2-in-1 Electrolux stick vacs. We have the Pronto and I found the ErgoRapido on clearance at Best Buy for $50. I use those things all the time for little quick jobs.

Anyone interested in a Dirt Devil Broomvac?

Try twisting the belt the other way... That's the irony of these little buggers. Twist it the wrong way, and the belt pops off. Twist it the right way, and the angle of the shaft keeps it where it needs to be. Give that a try before writing off this little guy. We picked up one on eBay for...

Latest finds... Electrolux Intensity and ErgoRapido

I went into Best Buy the other week and found the ErgoRapido on the clearance table in the front of the store - display model - for $50. No box, but everything else is there. The Intensity was a Salvation Army find - $60. It's in very good shape. If it weren't for the brush roll having a...

I bought my first Lift Away nearly 2 years ago. We sold that one to Mike's cousin - still runs like new. Bought another one to replace it, and that one went to his mom. My cousin, Mike's sister and aunt/uncle bought them - love them! Mike was the first winner of the Shark cleaning combo. Great...
