Is the universe telling me to stop buying vacuum cleaners?

One of my friends mums purchased a Vax Air Cylinder, took it straight out of the box & the Dust Bin Release button was stuck in the lock position! Awful quality!

Is the universe telling me to stop buying vacuum cleaners?

You are right vintagerepairer. In the early 2000's Vax were still only selling mulrifunction machines, then they began selling Dirt Devil Machines under the Vax name IIRC. Gone are the days now when you used to see Turboforces & Swifts everywhere you went.

Is the universe telling me to stop buying vacuum cleaners?

Wonder how the Vax Commercial machines hold up?

Was that the Centrix 3 Sam?

Is the universe telling me to stop buying vacuum cleaners?

Most Vaxes these days are hit & miss, sadly as most of their machines work really well.

Is the universe telling me to stop buying vacuum cleaners?

Vax never seem to get better, their quality always tends to get lower everytime someone on here reviews a new machine. Oliveoiltinfoil purchased a Vax Air Powerhead & found it useless due to a poor quality build & low watt Powerhead. The New carpet washers look like a child's toy too.

The new Numatics - the spec

Love the vid. The new floor head is very similar to the one on my Hotpoint, the middle portion pulls upwards so the main head stays in contact with the floor.

Has anyone had a Sebo D2?

As much as I want a D2 I don't think my parents will let me spend such money, sadly. :(

Car Boot Sale Find (Sebo X1.1)

It always amazes me when you have an empty Dust Bin or Bag & Vacuum Hard Floors Alone - how much dust is actually in the container or bag. Looking at most floors you would never think so.

Dysons Twice the Suction claim - is it true?

I read your review before purchasing, you will see mine soon. The only thing I like is the fact that it is Dual Cyclonic & the fact it has good Carpet Cleaning Ability. Other than that I find the machine horrid to use, hard to manouver, feels that it will break easily & not enough suction when...

Dysons Twice the Suction claim - is it true?

Just to keep on the Bagless Subject, I bought the Zanussi AirSpeed Lite Pet a week ago. I have used it three times so far & whilst I have been impressed with it's Carpet Cleaning ability & the fact the filter is hardly dirty, the Suction isn't 'monstrous' in any way & the build quality is pretty...

Dysons Twice the Suction claim - is it true?

I don't even know why Bagless machines contest each other by comparing Bin Sizes, because I've always thought it was necessary to empty the Bin after each use. Whether it's a Dyson, Multicyclonic Vax or Hoover, or even a pleated filter machine, I've always emptied the contents into a carrier bag...

    Vax air powerhead

That Powerhead must perform pretty badly if it got that tiny amount out of 4 carpets!

Dysons Twice the Suction claim - is it true?

It's just so much easier, even if there is the (small) cost of bags.

Dysons Twice the Suction claim - is it true?

Well, when you have to go down a flight of stairs & outside where the bin is unsheltered & it's blowing a gail? Eeer, no. That's why now I empty them into a carrier bag then put into the regular bin but I still get into contact with dust.

    Vax air powerhead

I am so glad I bought the Hotpoint instead of this or the regular Air Cylinder.

Dysons Twice the Suction claim - is it true?

I'm with you madaboutsebo, it's so easy just to take a bag out, put in the bin & put a new one in. Plus, bagless dust cups won't fit in my bin lid, so I have to physically remove the bin lid, which is a pain. It was recommended by Hoover in their instructions that for Asthma Sufferers was to...
