The Big Blue Bomb # 97

To Whom It May Concern... Sounds like time for a Dear Boss letter! That vacuum looks like it has sat in a flooded basement!

    Proper way to store hoses?

Combination.... I have garden hose hangers on the back of every closet door on the main level. They are half moon shaped is the best description I can give you, plastic, found at any home and garden department. They will hold a few each. Then in the basement, I bought some PVC piping and...

    The baby is here

I can't tell you how happy and excited I am for you both, and what a beautiful baby! After you sent me those pics yesterday, I went around work showing them off at work as proud as any "unkie"! I can't wait to hold him in my arms!

    As Requested...

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. You sound like the best grandson anyone could ask for, and I'm sure you're going to be instrumental in his recovery! My grandfather passed when I was an infant, but I cherished my grandmother for years into my adulthood. People who still have their...

    Sad news to report

Mike was a kind gentleman, and so knowledgeable. I always enjoyed his company and his clinics. There were a couple of times I had the need to call him about something, and he always dropped what he was doing and came to the phone to help me out.

    Oreck branded as a Royal

The Tempo has always been available under 100.00 IIRC. TTI throws on a commercial cord, calls it a "commercial" model and jacks the price up. Way to go TTI, all about the money and no improvements to make it worth the increase.

    My 1970's Bissell powerteam broom-vac

Phillip...did you get that Bissell on the right from me? I'm losing it! I know I had one of those at one time, but it's gone...lol. I just came up from my infamous basement that NO ONE is allowed to visit and I have the one like the Oreck on the left with the big foot power nozzle, but it's...

Any small vintage stick vacs with a brushroll?

Sunbeam made one, I can't think of the name of the model. It was an aqua or turquoise color. Judging from the color I'm guessing 60's, maybe into the 70's. Anyone that has old catalogs might be able to timeline it better.

Anyone know of the evolution lite vacuum?

Don't expect much... I have one of those. It barely raises the pile on my cut pile plush carpet, so it sits by my clothes dryer to use to clean the lint screen. It has decent suction on the hose, suits that purpose perfectly.

    Please Help,

The correct colors are Victorian Rose and seal griege circa 1969-70, B-line model under the A-lines 1070/1020, the start of the square hooded models. The Moorehead model was earlier, model 33 1962-1964, dusky lavender and pearl white. I had a perfect specimen of a 589 in my collection but gifted...

    Eureka 1934b Discontinued

Perfect? Years ago when I worked for Oreck part-time, we had that same upright as Bissell only branded with the Oreck name. For some reason I thought those machines were from Perfect..but I will admit, I do have some cobwebs in my archives! We carried four models, all with metal hoods, and one...

    New models from Metropolitan

Hmmm.. It might be made in the USA, but probably of "globally sourced components"? Hence the motor quality if it runs hot?

Longtime VCCC Member Glenn Dienst Passed away Today

Very sad news. I think I've met him twice at conventions, very nice guy and knowledgeable. I've always missed him when he's been unable to attend the conventions and he will truly be missed. Phillip M. and I were just talking about him last weekend when he and Shaylee were here, but we hadn't...

    Interesting instructions: Singer E-10

A long long time ago... Back in the 70's I had a new Kirby, and hated having to change the head to use the attachments..soo..I went to Sears and bought the cheapest canister/tank vacuum and it was the above model only with the Kenmore name on it. It was an orangy color as I remember. It had a...
