    Has anyone watched these videos?

If you want to refute... Hey if you want to refute him and otherwise call him a liar that he is, please do so. I'm not an expert but I certainly know he's not a Consumer Reporter more like a vacuum cleaner sales associate.

    Has anyone watched these videos?

Hey all, I have received a number of responses to my video (Thanks!!), but this morning I got one from a user called "ConsumerReporter". After watching his video, he does not report nor is a reporter himself. Instead he is a vacuum cleaner salesman who pits his brand against other popular ones...

    Question for Kirby experts/fans

Why can't I find stuff like this... Ah, I love dumpster diving and my partner gets all embarrassed on trash day when I drive slowly past people's things. Someday though, I will score a Kirby in the trash. Matt :-)

Presenting Freda my new Kirby Sentria Video..

As promised, I made a short video of Freda my Kirby Sentria. I didn't have Final Cut Pro installed, so I had to use crappy iMovie instead. But you get the idea. Thoughts? Matt :-) P.S. Snowy day here in Spfld, IL with lots of snow coming down.

Kirby Sentria Review and Design Issues...

Hey Vintagehoover??? Would the change in voltage be an issue too? We run 110 to our outlets. Don't you all run a much higher voltage? Not sure, but would that be one of the reasons? Here is a video and I'll also post it in a different thread for a new topic. Matt :-)

    Where does one begin???

I have a Kirby DS50 and a Tradition to start my collection off. They are both working but in need of some spa treatment. I've restored two Lincolns and usually when I start in a project, I have a shop manual to refer to as well as a shop parts book too. This helps me to know what parts I need...

Kirby Sentria Review and Design Issues...

I still like my Sentria... But I agree, they did take some parts and make them more cost effective. I guess I'm most disappointed in the belt lifter. While the internals are metal, the actual "Kirby" flip part is plastic. The G6's was plastic too, but it had a hook that makes it easier to turn...

Kirby Sentria Review and Design Issues...

Now that I've used my Kirby Sentria for a couple days, I want to give you all a amateur review and some of the issues I've run into. Overall aesthetics: From an amateur view, the handle is the most redesigned piece that I can see. The other handle seems to be more square whereas this handle is...

    Hello Everyone, New Here

WOW!! My favorite Kirbys...let's see it would have to be my grandma's (Nanny's) DS50. I love that machine and I get it too in May!!! It's the first vacuum I can remember and I loved how the bag inflated when you turned it on. After all, my mom's Kenmore didn't do that. There was a unique sound...

    Kirby Zip Brush

Do you like your Zip Brush? I'm thinking about getting a Zip Brush for Freda (Sentria) and I was curious if you like it? I have a LazyBoy that is sort a short velour material type and my Ford Fusion has microfiber fabric. Do you like it? How well does it work for you? Let me know before I...

Hellga had a baby and her head didn't pop off...

Ok let's talk price... Ok, I didn't ask them to come into my home. I figured if I was going to negotiate, it was going to in on their turf. I did this for one reason, I can walk out the door. It's harder to eject someone from my home than it is easier to eject myself. I've learned that from...

Hellga had a baby and her head didn't pop off...

Accessories...??? The only accessory I got was the shampooer. I picked that that up on eBay brand spanking new for $35.00 shipped. I have the sander from the G6 and plan on keeping it as my grandparents will not use it. The only accessory I'm now interested in is the Zip Brush. I'll have to...

Hellga had a baby and her head didn't pop off...

Sisters Are Doin' It For Themselves... Hellga and Freda are together. Like mother, like daughter. Molly my Beagle is not even helping, she's napping.

Hellga had a baby and her head didn't pop off...

All together now... I told the dealer that I would assemble the Kirby so long as it won't void my warranty. He said it was cool!

Hellga had a baby and her head didn't pop off...

Hey everyone...Hellga had a baby. I didn't even know she was expecting! I came home and found Freda right beside her! Ok, here's the real story. I found out my grandparent's 1965 Kirby DS50 is working but not to her highest potential and it's not pick up their cat hair very well and moreover...

    Some Kirby usage questions

What? Cheap padding? LOLOL. I've been insulted about a lot, but never my padding. ha hah ah ah...very funny. You make a good point. But you know as I vacuuming this morning and it happened to me in two places. The first is right in front of my desk where I have a desk chair on rollers (this...

    Some Kirby usage questions

Jumping is fun...sometimes. Well here's what I did... I took the brush roll out and took it to notch #1 and cleaned all the fuzz from the "belt finger" (What is the name of that thing?) and cleaned it all out. Assembled the power nozzle back together and took it into our bedroom. Here are the...

    Some Kirby usage questions

I went to our local Kirby store and took Hellga in to see what the technician thought. He looked at the wheels and said they were in excellent shape and there was no wear on the wheels. He looked at the brush roll and said it was brand new (which I knew too) but he asked me to describe my carpet...
