    Why so many Kirby Omega's?

even though kirbys have incredible suction on the floor, when you use the hose its alot less impressive- flow vs suction. one gripe is in hose mode it gets LOOOOOOUUUD (fan and bearings perfect just loud) i still think even for a 50/50 home its worth it, lift the belt and run across the floor...

i have to post pics of my kirby omega. i got lucky with it, almost perfect shape (just oxidized) OE bag is even flawless. perfect OE metal fan too! i need a buffer, and a lifter sticker and i will be in buisness! there is only so much you can buff by hand. i want a kirby G3, i actually like...

Royal wide path or kirby generation?

im unfamiliar with 6 bladed royals ben. i know that number of blades isnt everything, alot is pitch, engineering and RPM. i also know amps are not everything also. in short i dont know, but i would think 6 amps and 6 blades is enough to work well enough.

Latest Kirby Sentria - Notable Changes

I assumed they were like car transmissions with just cog-to- ahh yes, but there are quite a few auto transaxles in cars that have one or more chains! :) i want a kirby G but i already have a omega and i doubt a new one would clean any better once i put on a disposible bag upgrade and double...

Help me chose a new vac!

hummm. first of price. you have the dough- Kirby is almost impossible to beat, it deep cleans VERY well and can do alot more than any other machine out there. they are heavy and expensive but you can get one for less than a upright meile with the right negotiating skills. if you dont want to...

    Why so many Kirby Omega's?

why do i find so many Omega's on ebay in flea markets and resale shops? i bought two of them thinking they where rare untill i find millons all over the place. anyone have a explanation of why there are so many? lots sold? very high durability? i really like my machine, it has amazing suction...

    Delco 300 vac?

i think the motor is shot :( its really loud (bad bearings) and the armature sparks a real lot (brushes ok) unless its supposed to spark like that, all vac motors will spark to some extent but this is pretty bad. looks like a hoover motor also the fan is intact!

    My new Kirby 508

i really like my omega, its very powerfull for its amperage, the 38 year old fan is intact, i even decided to pick up a few coins to test it out- no harm. i dont like the brush roll (single row) as its too gentle and doesnt help carry the vac along, and im upgrading the dump out bag to a paper...

The NSS Pig: Overkill for a residential setting?

cfm may be low but vacuum force is probly unbelivible. its like HP and Torque in a cars engine you can have a 300hp car but it struggles to pull a trailer, then again you could have a 170hp and 500ftlb.torque truck have no issue pulling trailer.

The NSS Pig: Overkill for a residential setting?

as tim allen would say "more power ho,ho,ho!" no such thing as over-kill, V-8 in a fiero? why not? 500nitro express round revolver? sure! a 200lb vac for your 10X10 family room? atta-boy!

Royal wide path or kirby generation?

seeing the volume of the bell (which is very small compared to even kirby) and the efficentcy of the fan, i would say with even a 6A vac it would do just fine. i would suspect a slight drop in suction, however most royal already have too much suction in the first place (two clicks on the toe...

    Yesterday's Trash Find

those are TANKS! seriously heavier than a kirby G series. i know where i can buy one :P tell you what, if i had the money and the room i would have a few dozen old vacs around.

    Kirby polishing

that is true, polish grinds of small amounts of metal and oxidizes immediatly. even brand new metal will make a rag black.

Royal wide path or kirby generation?

ok, i found a motor brush end-bell (plastic bearing/brush holder) some gaskets, a new brushroll, plate and used wide-track front assembly. franken vac is complete! it picks up and grooms as good as the normal nossle, slightly less suction, but enough to pick up the carpet and suck up a piece of...
