    Hoover Vs, Eureka

anyone know what amps the full plastic hood, full metal base convertible is? i really want one because of its slow startup and smooth running motor, you can hear the brush roll over the motor. i just got a blue convertible 5amp type a bag. needs a bellow oh yeah, i like sanitaire/eureka better...

    Rinsing a Dyson Shroud

sorry i have to spill it. there is a loss of suction, it just happens slowly, seen plenty of them so packed that NO air will flow. the thing is with a powerfull machine you notice little suction loss, such as a royal, sanitaire or kirby, sure its nice a vac wont loose suction room to room...

    Rinsing a Dyson Shroud

you CAN do it but take your time and be careful, once apart rinse it with warm water and a cleaner if you want (mild ones only) let it dry all the way. oh yeah, do this outside, you WILL get covered in dirt.

Which of the Dyson vacuums has been your favorite?

i hate to be "that guy" but i will chime in by saying that dysons [period] are medeocre at best. the statement that "dysons never loose suction -even a tiddly bit-" is a flat out lie. i just serviced a DC17 with no suction. i thought "clogged hose" checked that out nothing. then i thought "the...

Your one favorite Kirby OF ALL TIME

i just picked up a 505, neat, the sound is strange, you hear the zzzzzzzzzzz of the comutator (its all in good shape though)and it has a siren type howel with no load (again fan is immaculate) 3Amps it has it puts them to good use and isnt a bad cleaner. i like my omega better though!

I'm not a fan of Hoovers, but, erm....

new com for um... $6.00 USD??? around here it would cost a arm and a leg. a commutator CUT cost over $60.00

I'm not a fan of Hoovers, but, erm....

in the antique fan crowd those groovs are called apple cores or apple coring. and without re-cutting its screwed, and sometimes there isnt enough copper to do that.

Royal wide path or kirby generation?

8.7 amps of power is plenty to do some really deep cleaning , its odd because the way it grooms the carpet it looks at first like its not doing a good job, but its because there are far less wheel/nossle marks, i ran both the kirby and sanitair over the freshly royal cleaned carpet and they are...

    Bagless Technology

i dont like dysons at all, my gripe is the the way things snap together the use of cheap brush rolls and that most new models you cannot properly clean cyclonic units without ripping out the silicone sealent. i however do admire bagless vac archetecture and design, most dont work good but most...
