    My vacuum cleaner enthusiasm story

I recall our pre school here in Scotland had a deep pile carpet. You reminded me - its where we lost most of the LEGO; another Scandic nod!

    My vacuum cleaner enthusiasm story

"why, oh why, does there seem to be a lack of power nozzles available in Europe and surrounding countries?! " Because largely there is NO need for them. Most of Europe has homes with hard floors instead of carpets. Not all countries do, but the majority do. Have a interesting read at the link...

    thinking of getting henry

Good to know! So I take it you are impressed then? Generally when using the hose, the attached bent handle is the essential component that bridges between the rubberised cuff from the end of the hose to the straight suction tubes. The plastic adaptor is only for usage at the end of the...

    Commercial Upright (UK)

    Glad I could help.

    Commercial Upright (UK)

Mike81's video on the similar Karcher upright which is the same as the SEBO 360 and similar BS36 is pretty impressive on carpet. SEBO's Evolution upright uses the same brush roll and only has one replaceable strip of brushes that twists around a metal roller bar.

What happens to carpets that have only been cleaned with a stick vac...

And yet my friend turfed her Bissell Powerforce upright only after a few weeks after the machine ripped her carpet to bits. She now owns an old Miele S7 upright of mine.

    Commercial Upright (UK)

This might be simpler to look at!

    Commercial Upright (UK)

I will try and be clear about this as I find the info isn't all that easy! The SEBO BS36 uses a twin motor similar to the older 360. They're built solidly and have quiet motors, also easy to unclog and great cleaners for carpets. They weigh 8/8.3kg but they come with a stitched in 10m cord...

    How Heavy Are They?

Interesting info. Did you measure the Rainbow just by the body alone or the weight of hose, tubes and PN together?

    Riccar VOLT Cordless Power Nozzle

Are there any implications of the Volt when it produces additional suction air when connected up to a central vac or other kind of vacuum?

From straight-suction canister to canister with electric attachments

The Electrolux Excelio I have has a power socket on the body and the machine itself has a battery run infra red remote control panel on the handle. It is one of the rarer vacuums I'm proud to have collected. However looking back all those years ago when the Excelio came to market, there's...

    Scam listing?

Alibaba.com does sell Kirby and SEBO uprights but I'd be wary of the seller given that there is no feedback on the seller's stats. Despite it saying that "4 sold already," Id be suspicious given no ratings from buyers.

    New full-size powerhead from Electrolux

It depends on the manufacturer. Most SEBO machines can be repaired by the owner or at least parts can be downloaded and SEBO will show the owner what to do. At least you have the option for PN with Miele. Miele don't generally add any sockets on their UK models. Not sure for the rest of Europe...

From straight-suction canister to canister with electric attachments

Yes the cord is embedded inside the hose.

    New full-size powerhead from Electrolux

"What use is a functioning power head when after 4 years the vacuum's sumo board and or hose switches, or control boards fry?" Well such is the beauty of a canister vac. You either get it replaced or replace everything else around whatever works. That is at least one good boon of having a...

From straight-suction canister to canister with electric attachments

The E series features the same kind of hose already equipped with the SEBO D4 and K3; the cord is embedded inside the cord.

    New full-size powerhead from Electrolux

Jeezo, not even I am that rough with floor heads. Im surprised his Electrolux power nozzle works the way he chucks both of them around. The new PN does look like a good PN head though I'd be concerned about the height adjustment on a carpet that thin. You can clearly see that after a while the...

From straight-suction canister to canister with electric attachments

The EU tests have not been kind to any upright that has to have something changed on it though. Whilst I know the Felix is good at hard floor cleaning, I don't tend to use detachable heads all of the time. Whilst the Deluxe Parquet is a good design for my floors in general, I much prefer just...

    Sanyo Upright Bagless Vacuum

Ah, it is the Dirt Hunter series - U.S model range. http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Sanyo-Dirt-Hunter-HEPA-Vacuum-Cleaner/23176/product.html

    Sanyo Upright Bagless Vacuum

The Sanyo uprights sold in the UK came in various guises but the later bagless ones were sold in the U.S under Fantom (after Dyson), I believe.
