    Oiling question

Don't laugh....I'm handy when it comes to carpentry, plumbing, household electrical, etc. But, where do I oil my old vacuums ? I've attached pictures of my old Apex that runs fine but has not been oiled by me. On some vacuums, the oil hole is labeled as such and some have a spring with a cotton...

    1930's? Apex upright

Nice Toy I have the Apex toy vacuum and it really works.... Too funny that you would tell your child to go plug in their toy vacuum (as well as toy stoves, irons, washers, etc.) ...these days, they have to wear a helmet to ride their bike.......

Surprised no one has bought this !

This has been on eBay for a little while. I guess I'm kinda shocked no one has scooped it up... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Very-Rare-Antique-Vacuum-Accessorie-Electrolux-Turbotool-/322373616396?hash=item4b0ef7030c:g:FmgAAOSwjDZYZS6X

Royal Standard Thank you for the info. I must have the standard model also....see pics. Would the bag on the Super look like the black standard bag ?

Who can identify for me ?

Follow up I just found that the "Sterling - Welch" Co. was a part of the "Sterling Linder" Corporation and was located downtown Cleveland. I remember going there as a child and seeing the largest Christmas Tree in doors. The vacuum obviously was made for them. Not sure if that bag was original.

Who can identify for me ?

My first very old vacuum that came out of my mother in laws attic. I'm a very new collector and initially went by the bag to assume it was an old Royal. Now, after some research on Vacuumland, I see that it may not be. The tags show no manufacturer but I'm assuming it was the Geier Co. The bag...

SELLING OLD VACUUM CLEANERS ON EBAY - A REALITY CHECK

Discouraging Yes, shipping is too high.. another factor is that just about all antique and vintage items are not in demand due to lack of interest by younger people. We collect antiques and have seen prices fall over the past few years. Auctions are filled with people older than us with...

On Hold Sorry.....my wife wants to use it as our "daily driver" rather than get rid of it since it out performs a new vacuum. It's going to Larry when she's ready to let go. Dave

Really Old Ariway Upright on ebay

It's a nice one...have no idea why they don't plug it in and test it... I already have one in the same condition but would be interested (because it's such a cool piece) ...shipping too high and untested keeps me away.

Kirby 517 for sale or trade

Not original Yes, I stated that the bag is not original....I think the belt lifter and headlight hood trim is faded..but I'm not positive. They do not seem to be that much nicer than the rest of the vacuum to have been replaced. Anyway, I don't want it but do not want to throw it away. For $ 20...

OK Experts out there - what is it ?

I only collect pre WWII era vacuums but I couldn't resist this one. I bought it for myself for Christmas.....it was listed on eBay as an AirWay Air Chief.... it's a great vacuum but only has a tag stating "Made in USA" and "Model 700A"... and "Patented"...that's it so I'm not sure if it is an...
