Hi all I am looking for a supplier of the 8 position knob,I am not finding anything on line.

Ditch the motor In my forteen years of working on vacuums I have found that electrolux motors built after 1984 are not worth rebuilding.My advice is find another electrolux upright and harvest the motor.

Bearings The 608 8 mm bearing is the most common bearing I have run into servicing vacuum motors.

They are all great machines All the vacuums mentioned are all excellent deep cleaners,it all comes down to price and availability. I enjoy using my hoover guardsman and sanitaire 886 with added kirby fill tube and paper bag set up,if you find a good condition eureka f&g boss or 5 amp sanitaire...

Very good choice I have had three this last one I purchased at Goodwill for $8.99. The six amp. motor has lots of air flow and takes A bags. I saw several used ones on Ebay for under $100.00.
