    Kirby Carpet Shampoo System

@vaccumdevil. how much water lift you do suppose is needed ( knowing that the Kirby has superb amount of airflow) to actually pick up dried foam crystals? you make is sound like its completely anemic and might not even be able to pick up minor particles like that?

    First Electrolux since childhood

here's more of a look I don't have another bag yet, so I can't test that. See from the photos...is this G missing anything that would help it to seal better?

    First Electrolux since childhood

after looking at this again, I see no problem as to why its not sealing better. Why would that gap be there in-between the housing and the door, yet, when I force that lid/door all the way to the housing, the suction loss increases.

    Cars!

my fleet I'm currently doing some restorative work on a '65 Buick Riviera that I picked up last year ( electrical, mechanical (windows/hidden headlights), and mostly interior work. My '57 Cadillac Sedan Deville runs like a top, still need a few electrical things , and about to replace the seat...

    First Electrolux since childhood

I'm not at home for 2 days so I can't check some of things that were offered to me on this issue. I do know the paper bag was basically new and the cardboard was rigid. The motor doesn't sound bad at all on the wind down either. I thought of a seal being the issue since you can see the photos I...

    First Electrolux since childhood

attachments I did not get any attachments...just the PN and hose, I used another, I think, Electrolux or someother brand, non powered wand and hooked up a floor tool to is. I ordered a new factory style dust/upholstery brush so I didn't have to pull out my Kirby attachments for it.

    First Electrolux since childhood

thanks all I did the test Jon suggested, there wasn't a difference on airflow from the housing opening and the hose end. But, that is with me pushing the housing lid close manually. The photos show there is a slight opening/not sealing.....is this a common problem? Easy remedy? That gap seems...

    First Electrolux since childhood

My first memory of our family vacuum cleaner was a 1205 Electrolux but I don't remember much after that ( curiously odd to my mind, that fact). My friend, who've I've referenced many times here is a vacuum technician since the 1970's with emphasis on Kirby's as well. He closed his doors this...

    Electrolux model F

I appreciate this thread as I was planning on asking you all about quality C type bags. I wondered if any were made in cloth Hepa type/manner because those type keep the airflow so much longer than the paper bags even with filtrating layers inside the paper. Does anyone know of any?

Vacuum that pick up bowling ball?

I'm beginning to think some generic floor tools are better than the 'older' ones on some of our machines. I just picked up my first Electrolux (G) it is missing the floor tool as well as the dusting brush ( which I want to get an original style one) so I used my Rainbow tool with it and it...

    Kirby shampooer vs rainbow/extraction.

I have both shampooer's too as the OP. I haven't noticed any extra 'sudsing' in my aqua-mate when I had previously used my Kirby shampooer, I"ll watch more closely next time. I like them both....but with really soiled areas/spills, I pretreat, but I'd use the aqua-mate (extraction). Kirby's...
