I had one of the earlier ones, black I think,10 years ago? Started life in my brother's store,then to me where I cleaned and checked it all okay,rehomed, and then again when that girl moved. Has to be on owner #4? Now, no issues. I didn't mind it, but didn't need either. Pretty solid.

I had one the neighbors had given me in that color. They had purchased it at Sam's. I didn't care for it compared to the metal units and in the short time I had it two motors burned up.

I believe you are correct, they also make the vacmaster shop vac. I've had a couple of kenmore's and the vacmaster by them and I honestly think they're better than the old ones.

I have a similar style Hoover with a Montgomery Ward's label in a rust color, nothing special about it but I just happen to like the way it works and sounds I use it frequently. It did come with a tool kit still in the box with a minimum of tools but I've just never bothered.

I purchased one as my first vacuum for my first apartment in I want to say 76 and it was I believe under $40, a very pretty color! Good power but there were too many shortcomings I did not keep it. One of my biggest issues was the dust that it blew around. Maybe they have the same problem.
