Anyone else think the pre "ball" Dysons had better Bin/Cyclone designs?

Any Panasonics or Kenmores that adopted the multi cyclonic design when Dyson's patents expired like the 22614 you can still buy today.

    Measuring CFM?

VW's tests are so misleading, that's one of the reasons why I don't watch his channel anymore. Bill (VacLab) gives a more thorough explanation in his posts and videos which makes more sense to me.

    Kenmore models regained headlamp?

The 600 series has some improvements, but also some downgrades as well like getting rid of the headlight on some power nozzles or the 360 hose swivel. I don't know what's going on with your Miele or Wessel Werk power nozzles but I never had a problem with them especially the EBK360 on my aunt's...

    Favorite Outer Bag designs.

I like alot of them but I think my most favorite one would be the grey micron filter Heavy Duty bags that Sanitaire/Eureka used, another reason why they're my most favorite direct air machines ever.

    Measuring CFM?

Many years ago my old local vacuum store had a suction meter similar to this shop down below. I remember back in 2012, my buddy showed me a demonstration between a Panasonic Platinum QuietForce MC-UG729 to a Sanitaire S645 Type A, it was a night and day difference. The Panasonic I think got a...

Anyone else think the pre "ball" Dysons had better Bin/Cyclone designs?

I own three Amway machines myself and as much as I love these machines, I disagree that they had the best cyclone separation. My DC07 does a better job at keeping the pre motor filter cleaner. But not as good as the actual Panasonic/Kenmore bagless machines which by far has the best cyclone...

    Kenmore models regained headlamp?

I had a white 21514 model (similar to the 600 series) that was in my last apartment with all bare floors and only one rug. I'm gonna be honest, and this is coming from someone who grew up being a diehard Panasonic/Kenmore fan, I never did liked that machine. The handle was super uncomfortable on...

    Hello & some Eureka/Sanitaire parts q's

Actually the ones that were made by Nilfisk, Triple S, Kent, or Powr-Flite were made by Electrolux AB and now Bissell in Mexico. The company who made Banks, Levax, Oreck, or Perfect were made by a Chinese manufacturer who also makes machines for the Bissell Big Green Commercial line. Sounds odd...

    Hello & some Eureka/Sanitaire parts q's

You can still get a brand new metal motor for your Sanitaire. There's a company that makes copycats of Sanitaires like the Bissell Big Green (coincidentally Sanitaire is also owned by Bissell now), they use metal motors that'd fit on your Sanitaire.

Discovery Plus Gets a New Lease on Life

Paul, I agree with you on the Windsor Versamatic. I think they are one of if not the best commercial uprights ever made. I like the Lux style uprights, I even own a couple myself. But I favor my Kenmore/SEBO machines as they (and Lindhaus) pretty much perfected the Lux design.

    RIP old Vacuumland.

It appears the sister site (automaticwasher.org), at least for now, remains just the way it is. However, as what Kenny pointed out, nothing stays the same. I still miss the old YouTube days like for example when you had the five star rating, I know VidLii exists for that matter but not many...

In Honor of US Armed Forces Day

Forgot about Kirby That's a cool model too. I've also seen plenty of other vacuums with American flag stickers on their machines (and still do today) or at least on the boxes. I have a green Dirt Devil Vision that's not only made here but also has a three row brushroll where each strip is...

Using a dedicated trash can for vacuum dust?

Still works fine Since the video, had some minor things done to it. Got a new sock hose cover, re-raveled the hose, replaced the hose switch and wiring harness, replaced the two prong cord, put a new brushroll on, always replacing belts, and upgraded the lightbulb to a LED since the...

In Honor of US Armed Forces Day

As far as I know Tacony and Oreck are the only companies that actually sold "American" models which I thought was really cool.

    New Innovative Dyson FluffyCones PencilVac

"I think it just changes the way you clean." Nope, I'm not buying another cordless stick vac once my other one dies completely. I'd buy another broom and dust pan that'd certainly last for many years. And certainly nothing beats a corded hose vacuum for bare floors.

    Eureka model 2061 D

My great aunt had one before, though it's outer bag bag got replaced at some point. When she passed, I wanted to take it home with me but for whatever reason someone already got rid of it.

Using a dedicated trash can for vacuum dust?

When I empty out my central vac about twice a year since it's the only bagless vacuum I use, I use a trash bag to seal up the canister and dump everything in there. Then I seal up the bag and throw it outside in the garbage cans. I'd never dump my machines inside the house minus the cordless...
