    Best vacuum

One thing to note about the G models that I think is a design flaw, be careful to not let the motor get too hot. What happens if you do is that the filter exhaust cover can get wrapped overtime and not stay on anymore, I own a G1 and mine needs a replacement. The thing that sucks is mine is teal...

    Best vacuum

I definitely agree on the colors the older Windsors used to have. I don't like the newer colors as much. Either an ESSENTIAL G4 or G5 would be as close since one of the colors is still the same. They also just recently released a new G4 in black, reminds me of the colors the old Century 400...

    Best vacuum

Central vacs get my vote, preferably a bagged system. I know they're not for everyone but I couldn't live in a home without one. For an upright or canister, I like the professional commercial grade ones from either SEBO or Lindhaus the best.

The horrible truth about central vacuum systems and why every non-Canadian millennial hates them.

I'll admit, when I was younger, I wasn't really into central vacs. Always thought I liked uprights or canisters more. It was until like in middle school when I really started to appreciate them more and then later over the years with more experience that I realize they're my most favorite. I...

    New 2025 Riccar Lineup

Not a huge fan of white, otherwise they would've been perfect under the Simplicity brand if they were still selling higher quality machines as Riccar. Just like when Simplicity's central vacs were later white from grey and Riccar's are still black. I don't know about the cordless stick vac, but...

    Dyson engineering ineptitude and complacency

The DC22 also had a power nozzle but it was much smaller and delicate. That same YouTuber also did a video of one, the brushless motor reminds me of the Dyson dryers I'd use in bathrooms at public places.

    Dyson engineering ineptitude and complacency

Yes the DC21 is a canister. If I could have any Dyson, that's what I'd get.

    Dyson engineering ineptitude and complacency

Based on this review video from a long time ago, I assume it'd pass the fog test. And I agree, the more I keep on seeing newer Dysons, the more I have respect for the older models. In fact, I would've had no problem buying the smaller DC24 if the price was right. Would've been the perfect...

    updated kirby avalir platinum?

While I think it's great they found a way to quiet the machine down, I am however concerned about not being able to wash the outer bag in the washing machine like I do with my other Kirbys. If it won't come as an option then I'd pass. But I'd never buy a brand new Kirby anyways.

    Riccar R27CV Clean Air Cordless

Unless if there's a facelift of the cordless Hushtone upright coming like the backpack, I'll know it once I see it. I don't trust the manufacturer themselves unless if confirmed by a dealer like Clean Freak for example, It currently shows on their site that it got discontinued back in 2021 which...

    Riccar R27CV Clean Air Cordless

That Hushtone got discontinued unfortunately, actually all of the Hushtone models both corded and cordless are no longer made. Supposedly that new cordless Hoover upright is the replacement but I don't know what or if there'll be a replacement of the corded models.

    Dyson engineering ineptitude and complacency

I definitely agree on the filtration, in fact I just recently wrote that on another thread. To be fair, it's a 30+ year old design when other vacuums back then didn't had as many layers of filtration. As long as there's a filter before the motor, I'd much prefer having that over the Cinetic or...

If you could re-engineer any machine in your collection, what would you change about it?

I own a few Amway uprights that you can still buy new today as the Workhorse from WMJ Refurbish. I'm surprised they hadn't done some changes yet that I think needs some addressing. While I do like it's cyclonic design, it's definitely not the best I've seen. When I'd vacuum with mine, even...

    Dyson engineering ineptitude and complacency

That's the only Dyson if not the only bagless upright I'd buy today is the ClearTrak. Built super solid, powerful, very simple, easy to repair, can still get parts for them today, and I like that they're assembled here in the US. The only thing I'm disappointed about is not having a very...

    Riccar R27CV Clean Air Cordless

The vacuum world has certainly changed nowadays. Some good things were made but everything else I just care less about. When I was working at a vacuum shop, we did had those cordless Freedoms or Supralites. I'll admit, they were nice machines. I wouldn't personally buy one but could've still...

    Riccar R27CV Clean Air Cordless

No matter what, cordless vacuums would never win me over. And I'm betting this isn't going to sell well for Tacony.

    Reading Panasonic/kenmore Motor numbers?

These two videos show which has what. The first Progressive I can easily tell has a Panasonic motor and the second Progressive I can easily tell has a Ametek motor, I definitely like the Ametek one better. Same goes between the other two Kenmores as well. I also agree they were great choices for...

    Reading Panasonic/kenmore Motor numbers?

This is certainly something new I just learned on here. I didn't know Numatic had Panasonic motors in the past, I knew Dyson did. That's because I never really paid too much attention to Numatic since canisters aren't my taste. I always thought they used Ametek motors until I did some digging...

Found a NIB Hoover Concept One

I'd open it up to take pictures to confirm that it's legit. Now one thing I'm willing to bet is that because it sat in the box for many years, the bearings are dry so that would decrease the value. When I watched a YouTube video of someone buying a NIB Concept, it didn't sounded very healthy.
