Do central vacuums work well if properly installed?

And to make things worse the Aerus unit is bagless-who wants to dump and bin containg 8 gallons of dusty dirt and clean that ineffective foam filter. The MD dealer here has replaced several Aerus units-each with a blown motor from lack of cleaning the filter by its user or the general...

    As a kid-used a Kirby 510or 511 from my Dad.Canister vacuum was a Kenmore "wheelbarrow"that Stepmom had.Liked cleaning with them.

Do central vacuums work well for killing ants?

The airflow thru most vacuums-central or portable-can kill insects picked up by too high amount of airflow the insect breathing spiracles can stand. They get killed by the airflow drying them out from the inside.Insects don't have lungs as we do.Goes right to their tissues and cells.

Stinky bagless vacs and bulky item day trash finds.....

Not just dumping their bins--but not cleaning or replacing filters. Now if the owner READ the owners book about the vacuum they would learn about the filters that need attention besides dumping the bin.Honestly these folks would be better off with a BAGGED vacuum-when bag gets full or...

Stinky bagless vacs and bulky item day trash finds.....

"sprinkle carpet poweders-for some vacuums-the warrantee is invalidated if you pick this stuff up.If it gets into the motor-will fry the bearings. And it sneaks in somehow-no matter what filters or bag is used.Something about those sprinkle stuffs-they can corrode metal and even some plastic...

old Kirby's going for big money

When these older machines sell for the "designer","collector" prices I am NOT interested. This same nonesense has spoiled the lamp, radio, and fan collecting hobbiesRemember when these items USED to be able to be bought at REASONABLE prices?.And they used to be common at yard sales.
