    Hotel vacuums.

!!CAUTION!! Flapitation in progress, watch for hose! Personally I feel the central vac is a more ideal solution. Just imagine how much it costs to maintain and replace portables, bags, filters, belts, brush rolls, cords... All of that can be eliminated so easily. One big dirt bucket to empty...

    Vacuum lines on carpet

I like to make all the lines aim one way with the nap all pulled straight up, so you don't see the forward lines, just the backward strokes. I love playing "guess the vacuum" based on the carpet lines. I'm quite good at it too!

Should I sale my Rainbow or keep it?

I have both Kirbys and Rainbows as well. I have an E2 Black, but my newest Kirby is a G6. I like both, I'd probably choose the Rainbow, largely because I tend to lean more canister than upright despite liking both. That and I don't tend to use Kirby attachments, I'll either wait till I use a...

    Central Vacuum - Pistol Grip

I'm in the process of gathering money to go from my bagless Riccar unit to a bagged MD. Right now I have an RPU-C10 Riccar, 2 motor 240v unit, going to an MD M965h2, another 240v dual motor unit (I have a thing for dual motor units...) largely to go with bags, but I also found there's an even...

Converting a Central Vacuum to use EZ change bags

You do need the bag adaptor, the bag can and will slide off the pipe, the adaptor will actually hold the bag on itself.

Stark/Royal Classic PowerTeam 4650, repair questions

I’ve got a truly beautiful blue one that I bought back in 2005 from Marty Rocha at the LA convention, and one of those red ones fromAlex Braun in 2013. Love both of them!

    Sweeper-Vac "Handette" Model 47

Making the fibers fluffy actually improves the filtration. The fibers were fluffy when the bag was new, but they get all filled with dirt, so you do want to wash it gently in something like Woolite, and I’d recommend doing it by hand, the silkscreen lettering is the most delicate thing about...

A Member I Blocked is Bothering Me

Lawt cheezits have mercy! Jason Huber, where would one even begin, I’ve got enough stories about that fat thing to fill an encyclopedia. What an unpleasant and foul smelling creature, may she return henceforth to the swamp from which it emerged!

A NOS Fantom Has Been Spotted

I do realize this is what they sold for new, and to a large extent that’s why I think it’s insane. I guess I think paying so much for a machine for my collection is nuts. If it’s a brand new, current model and that is the wholesale cost, I can see that, but for a machine that time and the now...

Thermador disposal: The never ending search for a good grind has ended!

You're the first to say anything about the fork! I did that just to see what people might say. I don't usually have such dense and hard bones to dispose of, usually it will just be getting pork and chicken bones which go pretty fast. It really was just for fun, to see how it would handle it, how...

Thermador disposal: The never ending search for a good grind has ended!

Well I think we have it... I tightened the sink flange up a bit and went to a plastic outlet elbow. Then I gave it the business...

Thermador disposal: The never ending search for a good grind has ended!

But do you think this WK sounds bad? I just think it should be quieter, like it was before the mounting flange swap.   I'd love to find a batch feed Maytag or Kitchenaid/National for the other side of the sink, the Thermador WK is the disposal I really wanted for this side, the other side...

Thermador disposal: The never ending search for a good grind has ended!

Well, I changed out the mounting flange I started out with to a nice 3 bolt one, and now we have vibrations!     They sound like this...
