    Parents new Rainbow

I didn't want to start a new thread for just a simple question. Is it safe to put attachments in the dishwasher. Like the floor brush, crevice tool, floor/wall brush, etc? I know the floor brush has rubber on it. I've usually washed with in the sink with soap/hot water and just put them up to...

Pristine Sears Best Powermate on Ebay

I saw a 1979 , I think commercial for this on Youtube. The PN looks like a beast. I bet it did a good job. Too bad about the filtration and the height adjustment.

    Parents new Rainbow

Question about SRX So to be clear and that I'm understanding correctly. I've seen several Youtube Vid's demonstrating the lack of airflow at the PN by putting sand on a hard floor and it will NOT suck up the sand while most other PN's will. So is this the mere design of the SRX PN cutting off...

Two motors (E2 black) If the E2 black had a motor change. Maybe there should be a stat for Motor #1 and Motor #2 What is the wattage consumed on E series 2 speeds?

    Parents new Rainbow

I'm not sure when you say "clay" I'm wondering if you mean hard water white dust type material? Like if you put tap water in a humidifier how it can cause white dust deposits to get on everything. I have hard city water as well but I've never used mine on low speed. I just use it for cleaning...

    Parents new Rainbow

OK I can't speak for the Rainjet....but for the system use you absolutely CAN use essential oil (but, and there's a but) you risk cracking the basin (so I've heard) or at least discoloring the basin. But I've never had this happen. I have just stuck with Lemon, Orange or Eucalyptus essential...

    Parents new Rainbow

Oommphhh it used to? So wait, the SRX has a different "weaker" motor now than when it first came out? What is Rexair thinking??

    Parents new Rainbow

is it true that the latest rainbow lost some power vs the previous models? I heard the airflow was better but something with the voltage or wattage? I read it in this forum, but I can't remember.

    Parents new Rainbow

Not sure I would finance it but I've had my rainbow since 2006 (bought brand new). Had to have one control board repair a couple of years ago but I will never EVER give mine up. But, you gotta maintain it or things can go south really quick.

    Which vacuum is this?

Kinda sorta LOL - I was a HUGE days and GH fan years ago. I timer recorded them on the VCR and watched at night and was hooked for years. I haven't watched any for years. But me watching clips, that one showed up, while watching it I saw the vacuum. I can't believe in 1975, that that vacuum was...

    Which vacuum is this?

Ah, Ok thanks. I couldn't get over how similar it looked to a Rainbow back then. But I knew it couldn't be because the hose was on the top.

    Which vacuum is this?

In this video, go to 10:17 I almost want to say it's a Rainbow, but I don't think so. Anyway, it's 1975.

Anyone Have Some Info On this Brand?

My Cirrus Is a Cr-75 or 79 (I always forget the exact #) It's green. It's going on 3 years old. I find it to be a really sturdy vacuum. I have zero issues with the build quality. I remember ALMOST getting a Prolux but ended up getting the Cirrus. The HEPA bags are great and last a LONG time...

Anyone Have Some Info On this Brand?

Wait? Great Vacs (The Ebay Vacuum shop) makes these? HUH? I could have sworn someone told me that Essco makes these. I know they make Cirrus (I own a Cirrus and LOVE IT). I almost got a Prolux but I was told they were somewhat cheaper construction. But they look freaking IDENTICAL almost to my...

    Rainbow E2 Black hose

I'm pretty sure that Rexair started making the electric hoses for Wet Pick up starting with the Blue production of Rainbows. The Aquamate 3 was introduced around that time I believe (not 100%). My gold 2 speed's original electric hose was not made for wet pick up, however, I bought a new hose a...

    Rainbow E2 Black hose

Absolutely YES. Why do I say this? Because the black model Rainbow was the model that only used ONE hose for everything. For the PN, the Rainjet, Aquamate, etc. They no longer used a second hose. Of course, if you want a second non-electric hose you could buy one separately.

    Waiting Months for Bags/Filters

Actually I had 2 bags left in a previous pack. I thought I had used them all. So now I have the bag that is currently in the vacuum, and 8 more unused HEPA bags. I also got a HEPA filter (which I haven't changed yet) I'm hesitant to put the new one in when the current one (even though it's over...

    Waiting Months for Bags/Filters

OK WEIRD! All this time and I get the package today in the mail. I had emailed a while back asking them if they could check on it for me. They offered to cancel or just let me wait until they were available. I told them just to wait. They said they would update me. I never got anything from them...

    Waiting Months for Bags/Filters

Back in Late Oct, I ordered a 6 pack of HEPA bags and 1 HEPA filter and 1 pack of belts....they are STILL in backorder! I wonder why so long? I've never seen anything on backorder this long....and it's all of the items, not just one...

Newer Lux Legacy not a sealed system

So for non sealed systems......say you do use a HEPA bag......wouldn't you still have carbon dust leaking somewhere?
