OR.... you could get whatever vacuum you want and just buy this to go with it...which is what I did. As long as the vacuum cleaner has a hose...connect this to it and you can clean all over the place...I have to use a cheap adapter for it to fit my hose...I also like that the hose is light...

Thanks I think the main reason I was wondering if I had it on correctly is after vacuuming then opening the bottom to check to see if things looked ok...the belt had slightly moved in this direction.. I put arrows showing...the bottom arrow the side of the belt was touching that.

Vac devil... what do you mean leaking air of vintage machines? If you used a HEPA bag where would the air leak if it's going into a HEPA bag... also... I totally didn't even think about motor emissions...Carbon dust.... etc.

Hey - I know lots and lots of vacuums use HEPA bags but in addition to that they have a HEPA filter (often sealed)...what I'm wondering is...what if a vacuum uses a HEPA bag but does not have a HEPA filter? Is the result going to be the same since practically nothing escapes those HEPA bags...

Hey panasonicvac that cleanmax looks nice but I'm confused. Would there being no clutch mean that the brushroll is ALWAYS running? Maybe I'm wrong but I thought that's what the clutch did...there is no way in hell I would want an upright with the brushroll always running with no way to turn it...

well I love my CR-79...never a hint of dust in the bag chamber thanks to the HEPA bags no matter how long I go without changing them...and the after market 14 foot extension hose with tools I can use it as a canister. I hate the tools that came with it I don't use them...I think they are made to...
