    My Heritage II facelift

Looks great! The The Heritage 11 Legend is only model left on my vacuum bucket list. I recall when a friend bought hers brand new how impressed I was. It just seemed more refined than earlier Kirby's.Quieter and now with disposable inner bags! I have an orphaned blue Tradition bag in great...

    Hamilton Beach Model C Mixer

Nice Ray! That was a good move switching out the power cord and plug to 3-prong. Does this model have provisions to switch between large and small bowls? Also, if you don't have the specific bowls for this mixer can you use from models like G or H which are a little easier to come by I believe?

    I’m back after a while. Here’s a Eureka Ultra 7575.

#7575 You did a lot of work on your Ultra! It must run like new. A friend has a 1992 Ultra model 7545AT that looks similar to yours, though with brown bag and trim. His mom bought it new and the price was 169.95. Still going strong, and while he doesn't collect he keeps it in good shape. Says...

    Heritage and heritage 84

Differences... To me it looks like the handle on the right is a little higher than the one on left. Darker gray handle and a little slimmer also. How'd I do? Both stunning by the way.

Hoovers Used in Schools Back in the Day

Carpets at school? Naaah...The only floor with carpet was the teachers lounge, which had everything including a rumored bar, but you didn't hear that from me! This was K-6. I'm glad because all the classrooms, halls and cafeteria had shiny vinyl-asbestos heated flooring and we were allowed to...

    Another one followed me home

Hey Barry Yes I was speaking about their physical size. If time allows I'll peruse the archives for a couple threads posted from members with great photos of their broom vacs plus similar models. I'll let you know when I locate them!

    Kirby model 508

David, Beautiful 508! I was just thinking about how fun it would have been to be a collector and in a club with others back when Jim Kirby was alive and still designing Kirby's. I don't know how accessible he'd of been but I can imagine some of the questions, comments and suggestions he'd...

    Another one followed me home

Hi Barry I've got three of those and in three different sizes. Crazy! Even the largest is smaller than the regular full size D.D.Deluxe being sold at the same time. Royal was pumping a lot of these out in the early to mid-nineties. How many amps is yours rated at? I have one apart with the...

    Eureka Model H hand vac

Archives Jim, I'm sorry I don't have a link or a thread number I just remember seeing the photo of a nozzle to an antique vacuum that he owned. I've never gone to wherever the old threads are kept, but if you can tell me how to get there I would gladly try to find that post from bikeray for...

    Eureka Model H hand vac

Re-bristling Hey Jim, Nice work as usual,no surprise. If you have any questions on re-bristling the nozzle, you might check with bikeray. He's posted pics of some he's done and they're quite nice! I see the bump out on the back of the motor shell so did yours turn out to be a bearing type model?

    eureka 1941 e

Paul That's a great little vacuum cleaner, and for 5 bucks...come on. My friend was going to pitch his model #5071 because the motor was acting erratic. I adopted the cleaner and took it to my guy in town. Just needed a new set of carbons. He said whoever owned this machine probably used it in...

1970s Montgomery Ward Powr Kraft 30 gallon industrial wet/dry shop vac.

Late to this Couldn't you measure the capacity of the can to your wet/vac by using a bucket of water that has gal. measurements on the side. You wouldn't have to fill the whole can, just keep track of how many measured buckets of water it took to fill your wet/vac can to say 1/4 or 1/2 full...

Mighty Lite ML1200-A - Eureka Rebrand

    repairing Shark vacuums

No lies detected He's right on the money. I'm working on my Shark Steam Mop which is held together with two different sized security screws. I know more fun awaits once I get it opened. I hope someone does start a class action suit against Shark. Their business model sucks on many levels.
