    Royal Commercial Uprights Question

I didn't notice that on any of the machines I worked on. How ever all the ones I had were hard wired to the motor thru the motor shell. From the diagram it looks to be used to secure the cord so that it doesn't pull the cord loose from the switch located in the upper part of the handle.

WANTED: Attachments for a Tornado CV 38/1

Being that is a commercial vacuum you should be able to order parts on line for that machine or to any local dealer that sells to commercial cleaning business. https://www.google.com/search?q=tornado+cv+38%2F1+parts&oq=Tornado+CV+&aqs=chrome.3.69i57j0l6j69i61.7788j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

    Kirby vacuette

That is true it is the ultimate vacuum for collectors. Being that I am died in the wool Kirby all the way. I would love to have one of each of the renditions that lead us to what is known as the Kirby Vacuum. I just wish I had that kind of disposable cash and a proper place to display it.

    Kirby vacuette

Thank you Dysonman1. But I will stick with the modern day Kirby. It is by far a more efficient cleaning machine and multitasker to boot. And are parts still available???? (LOL)

Kirby Tradition - Recalled Safety Switch

It was the D50 at the time the armature wires were not glued or varnished together like they are today. There for the increase in RPM of the armature pulled the wires loose and the motor would fail.

Has anyone seen a Kirby like this?

What would be more impressive would be to have them done up in the camo hunting patterns or with sports team logos. Every man cave would have a Kirby.

Kirby Tradition - Recalled Safety Switch

Kirby did have another incident. When they introduced the Dual Sanitronic. The windings on the armature didn't hold at the increased speed. Kirby had to correct the problem then replace the armatures that failed. A long time friend of mine was a dealer at the time this happened. All new...

Do you own LG cordZero A9 stick vacuum?

vacuum manufactures have been advocating vacuuming your mattress well before now. Check Kirby's owners manuals as far back as possible. So did other manufactures. Hardly a new concept. I vacuumed a king size mattress years ago with a Kirby Classic Omega. The mattress was about 20 yrs old at...

Troubleshooting Rug Doctor Vibra Vac (Blue Metalic)

You say it doesn't work. However didn't describe what isn't working. Is the machine not applying solution? If not check to make sure the jets on the carpet tool aren't clogged. Over time the detergent will crystallize and clog the jets and or filter screen in the clean water tank and or supply...

    Chinese food? Woks? rice cookers?

I'm old school. I can cook rice on the stove in a pot with no problem at all. A rice cooker is a nice idea. However I don't have room for all the extra equipment. I do like Chinese food. My good fortune is there are a couple of places around that make dishes I like and am willing to pay them...

Which is better? Bagged or Bagless

I have had the good fortune of using bag less vacuums a few times. These of course where used by the average american that doesn't know of the possible short comings we do here. The fact that over time the cyclones do become clogged with dust and there is a post filter or two that do in fact...

I'm Back!! With a Thread for Rexair Collector

@dysonman Yes I know I have an E series with the hepa filter and a Rexair from 1945. And they need a post filter in spite of Rexair/Rainbow's claim wet dust doesn't travel. And that is true but only if it is the right kind of "dust".

    Bissell Customer Service FAIL

The truth is we live in a disposable age. Most people don't care and wouldn't take the time to try and fix it. For them it is much easier to go out and by a new machine. I for one like quality equipment. I also learned early on how to do proper maintenance. Other than the over all performance...

I'm Back!! With a Thread for Rexair Collector

That is one down side to a water trap vacuum there are some things you would commonly find in a house the that can't be trapped by water as it doesn't absorb water fast enough to be stopped in the water like common house dust can. I'm still old school and prefer a bagged vacuum no mater what...
