    Dyson DC-17 Rehab

. Well this is gonna take at about twice as long as i thought. I got most of the way through disassembling the cyclone but may need to purchase a longer star tool to finish. Also the hose end is being difficult...don't want to damage it so i backed off, for tonight at least, on that. As you can...

Help, Kenmore Direct Drive brush roll spinning backwards..

. There is no switch for the direction of "drive". My hope is the machine was miss wired and a quick swaping around of a couple of wires will sort it out. I was originally thinking to simply flip the brush roll the opposite way around as it is a uniform design, but the wires are custom cut for...

    My new daily driver

. Nice machine, smart bag choice! Powr-Flites is the all too often overlooked red-headed-step-child of the Tacony vac family. My wide load Sanitaire is red and has been apart for years. You just reminded me i need to add it to my list of FINALLY-FINISH-IT vacuums. I want to modify the color...

    Dyson DC-17 Rehab

. Well it's been awhile since i posted a vacuum fix-up, but as i was looking over my vac hoard i saw a Dyson i forgot i had picked up somewhere. And, as i recall, EVERYBODY HERE ON VL LOVES DYSON. So without further ado... What we got here is one nasty vac. Brush roller was tight, filter caked...

Help, Kenmore Direct Drive brush roll spinning backwards..

. I should mention, i was never sent a replacement "brush roll assembly", they sent a replacement vacuum. It is identical to the one on my work bench, and if need be i will use it as a guide...but the disassembly is so off-putting i would rather not.

Help, Kenmore Direct Drive brush roll spinning backwards..

. Well it's taken 3 years but i finally decided to try and get this sorted. After sitting along with 10 other half or fully disassembled vac projects i cleaned off the work bench and decided to first see if i could even get it back together...after the little amount of taking it apart i did way...

Article: Trade-in vacuums repaired for those in need

. Great idea! Vacuum stores can repair and donate their suitable trade-in vacs, and probably score a small tax deduction in the process....win win. http://https//www.vdta.com/Magazines/MAY16/Barnhardt_FC_May_16.html

Power Nozzle for Vintage Tank/Canister Vacs

. Brilliant! So many cool vintage vacs lack a power outlet or were equipped with mediocre power heads...I have Filter Queens, Silver Kings, and a Crome dome Rainbow, that can now clean without compromise. This Volt is a must for those of us who like to keep our gear on the job. I'm busy with...

    Is this really for sale?

. Go for it! NOS is the final frontier. NIB saves the cleaning hassle and storage issues of our hobby. I think I have bought from this company. Use a credit card (not debit) and you should be fine. That Sanitaire 670 is vey nice, I have one that I have converted to use the far superior ST top...

    My Awesome Find

. Vintagevaclover I think it was one of the last Concept I models produced. I love Concepts and buy them pretty much whenever they turn up. I started vac collecting a few years ago and i have noticed how great vacs like these are fewer and futher between each year. Concerning the Concept I...

    Miele Uniq - Good Deal!

. Cool. I think you made a good choice. You can easily buy 5 vacuums for $90/each, or even 10 vacuums for $45/each, and still not end up with something you really want to use. If that's where you are at, you saved yourself a lot of trouble.
