When I sent my Kirby 505 into Kirby for a rebuild several years back, it can back in the tan color, which they told me it would and it also came back with a belt lifter instead of the cap. So I am assuming they probably changed the shaft as well.     PR-21 Bud

You need both at first. The one has a rubber seal  with adhesive around it that the filter and grill snap into after it is mounted over the exhaust. Then you can just buy the after filters.   PR-21 Bud

I had a Felix Rosso, very nice machine. Easy bag change and tools on board. Enough suction to run a turbo tool and the power nozzle is great, with the ability to change out the brush roll in less than a minute....     PR-21 Bud

Had a Kenmore and they do leak dust  around the example in the picture. Used for sorting machine. Lots of paper dust. Used the cloth type bags as well. I have also had a Miele for home use, no dust leakage. The Kenmore had a nice power nozzle and cleaned well. Did not clog even picking up...

I have a Premier Model 21 and use Royal belts prior to the knurled  belts, for their earlier models. They work fine for me. A Kirby non knurled belt for the Classic back to the 500's should work also. Kirby has them for sell on their website.     PR-21 Bud

Ok I would hate to think that this is Kirby's idea, to think that they can keep this model another 4 years or so, by changing the bag topper to red and and give the black front wheels a red instead of gray stripe......and take the 100th anniversary sticker off the handle bale.     Lets...

Hoover Commercial Porta Power is better made than the Eureka Mighty Mite. I had a  Mighty Mite when they were well made. The latch  now is cheaply made and will eventually break. Also the way the hose attaches is not as good as the Porta Power.     PR-21 Bud
