A machine people are usually curious about...(picture thread)

I saw one of the green ones at a thrift store here earlier today for $6. It had a few attachments but it was dirty and partly broken. I wanted to by it, but the latch on the back that releases the canister was broken. Congrats on the Bissell Kyle! It looks great!

    concept one help needed!

You unscrew the colored plate on the front of the machine and then the cord winder is behind it. I think you have to unhook the bag and unscrew the colored plate from the back of the machine though, you can't just pry it off I don't think.

    Look at this

I agree, they have their machines priced high. I wonder if people actually buy some of the really expensive machines from them.

    Look at this

    Westinghouse Handvac

What is a good price for a vintage Westinghouse Handvac? The reason I'm asking this is because I have a lady who is willing to sell one to me and I only have to pay shipping. Shipping for priority mail would be $10.95 she said. Is that a good price?

The most gorgeous Montgomery Ward you'll ever see!

I have a black de-mother attachment that goes to that Montgomery Wards Canister. It looks just like the gray one in the pic on ebay except mine is black. Did the black de-mother go to the Eureka canister or did it go to the MW?

    1920's Royal

Okay, thanks for the info bvac! The armature is a little hard to turn manually, so I'm thinking that may be the problem because all of the wires are connected to where they are supposed to be. I'm thinking that when I plug it in and turn it on, it won't do anything because the armature is hard...

    1920's Royal

A few weeks ago, I posted a want ad for vintage vacuum cleaners on CL. Igot a call the other day from a guy who said he had a vacuum from the 1920's that I could come take a look at. So, yesterday I went and took a look at it and he let me have it for $10. I took it to the vacuum shop I do...

    Look to buy

I just bought a Bravo II from a local vacuum store owner for $3.50. Haven't really used it yet, but I have heard it is a good machine. It is awfully loud though. I come across them sometimes at yard sales and stuff. What What color of bag are you looking for it to have?

    Vacuums and Vacuum Parts

Actually, the guy a bought the stuff from had a brand new Tradition Head in the package. I thought about getting it, but then I didn't because I don't have a tradition. He also has a belt lifter to the tradition and some other tradition parts.

    Vacuums and Vacuum Parts

There is actually not really any chips or broken blades on the fan. I have this same problem with one of my Convertibles. It sounded like a blender when I got it and the fan was okay on it and then I took it apart and cleaned it all out, then I replaced the fan and it's still a little loud and...
