Vacuum plugs getting so hot they’re warping/melting! **HELP**

". I’ve used extension cords on vacuums for 15 years. Not sure what the nonsense is, makes perfect sense to me. Saves people time & prevents the plugs from getting bent, getting stretched past their limit at the wall plug & being yanked out of the wall." Saves you time how? Having to roll up...

Worldwide Electrolux Cylinder/Tank Type Z Series Photos 1949-c.1986

Someone definitely needs to study Australia an New Zealand's vacuums more. They had and have a lot of strange brands, and are seldom ever heard about. There's been many collectors on here from time to time from kangaroo land, and its always interesting reading about the vacuums they have or found.

(1988) Electrolux Special Edition model 1572E.

From what I remember, no I don't think so. I think there's a couple screws on the top back of the handle that hold the two halves together or holds the back half on. Then the halves come apart and switch is just there.

    Westinghouse canister rebuild

The issue is the size of the Ametek impeller - it looks too large. The other thing I would worry about is you can destroy the motor by throwing the motor out of balance with an improper impeller fan assembly. https://www.blaubergmotors.com/news/how-to-keep-balancing-of-centrifugal-fan/...

    Reading Panasonic/kenmore Motor numbers?

They use these UDS motors in Henrys too. I think only Panasonic knows what these model codes mean.

How to fix loose base on Hoover Self Propelled Windtunnel?

Are your carpets ultra plush or rubber backed? Modern carpets are too thick for vacuum cleaners to work with and they glue themselves to the carpet.

Achieving original Hoover Model 541 finish

If it came matte from the factory I wouldnt polish it. But these two videos are great to learn how to polish vacuums.

(1988) Electrolux Special Edition model 1572E.

The contacts inside are likely dirty. Take the switch out and unhook it and then spray it with deoxit an try and get the spray worked in inside the switch. I am not sure if they can be totally taken apart to get inside the switch assembly, I have not seen it for awhile. I know the blue LX series...

    Hoover 725

Great find! I do believe I have two 725's, one original and one Hoover rebuilt in the 1960's. They make a great pair to compare to each other to see what all Hoover was doing to them to refurbish them "for the modern home". I think I have original OEM Hoover belts for this (no idea if they are...

How to fix loose base on Hoover Self Propelled Windtunnel?

I think what he means is the entire back section of the cleaner - handle, bag chamber, the entire upper part - slops backward and forward while the front nozzle and base stays flat on the floor when it is sitting fully upright. I noticed the same with mine. It's probably wear over time an the...

    Royal 895 - Handle Assembly?

The goo thing about Royal is that it seems they standardized their parts and then just never changed it. So you can find a huge wealth of spare parts to repair your vacuum if one isn't concerned with replicating a museum piece. I have one of their earlier 1920s or 1910's models, and it had no...

    Most unpleasant-sounding vacuum ever?

Too much focus on power draw and CLEANING WATTS and they shoved away the design and styling to just cram a huge motor in it that pulls more power than a table saw.

Hoover Concept One U4119 - Handle Removal Won't Come off

Yes the transmission cable runs through the handle, you absolutely can NOT remove the handle an you will destroy the vacuum because I can guarantee that transmission cable will not go back on properly unless you know the exact way to install it. I have a Hoover Concept Two Electronic that FeEx...

Hose died on 1401-B. What's the best replacement?

Spray deoxit in the pins and get a tiny wire brush to spin around in there. They get dirty from plugging/unplugging..

Found a NIB Hoover Concept One

Wow even more special it was a gift from a bank! This makes sense why they saved it and never use it. Must have been an employee appreciation gift they were awarded with.
