Hey Richard welcome to Vacuumland! There are alot of us collectors out here! Some in Kansas too! I am in Salina. It's nice to know that there are fellow vacheads not too far away. I don't know much about the vac models you inquired about. However there seems to have been a discussion of the...

Wow! That's great to know Ray. Hard to imagine that a well-built product could have been sold for such a low price.

    Quietest Vacuum

Hmm I think the Electrolux Model G is tops for quiet. Also some Panasonic uprights are fairly quiet. I think it was Panasonic that even had a " Library quiet" series. Although I doubt they could have actually been used in a library full of people. LOL

Hey HooverMan thanks for sharing that link to the commercial! I remember thoat commercial from a few years ago. I really like the way they did the 3-D animation showing the machine's inner workings.

    Penncrest Convertible

Here is my latest thrift store find. A Model 1370 baby blue Penncrest Convertible. It was pretty dirty & scuffed, but it cleaned up nicely. It's the first Convertible that I have taken apart down to the bottom bearing & serviced. It purrs like new now! First Pic is before.

    Hoover windtunnel V2

Incorrect brush-roll positions Gary, since that photo was taken I switched the brushrolls around & corrected them. When I first got the V2 I posted the same pic & someone told me about them being in the wrong arrangement. It must have been serviced sometime before I acquired it & they...

    Hoover windtunnel V2

And another pic This is my favorite thing about this model. The brushrolls. I have always had a fascination with the counter-rotating multiple brushrolls of this type.

    electrolux hose

As Richard said, you can use Plasti Dip to coat the inside of the hose to make it airtight. There have been previous threads where the latexing process is described step-by-step. I have have used liquid latex on one of my woven hoses with good sucess. Dave Kerr (AeolianDave)has posted his...

Picked up a Whispertone Canister for $10

Nick that is definitely a great find for $10!. My sister had that same model she bought new at Sears when they moved into their new house at the time. She had it quite a few years before replacing it with another Kenmore. I do recall this as being the TOL model at the time.

who know about a regina electrikbroom?

I have an 80's PowerTeam ElectrikBroom which is the power nozzle model. I took the bag off as was described previously by unscrewing the top. Washed it inside out in the bathtub with great results. I have always had a soft spot for the ElectrikBroom. Happy vacuuming!

Some HOOVERS from my recent trip to Ohio.

John, which model has the crest on the headlight lens? I don't see it in the pics, or I am not looking close enough.

here is something you NEVER see

Erik, I was thinking the same thing that the power nozzle looks like a Singer nozzle. I remember the plastic Singer canister in Wal Mart in the 80's had that same PN.
