    Riccar Commercial

Good Point. The new light bulb was only 4 dollars so I went ahead and paid for that myself so the machine could be like new for them again. Its now ready to be put into weekly use!

    Riccar Commercial

Ok so I'm working on a Riccar Vibrance Commercial upright that's been in heavy use for about six years now. It belongs to a small church that my Aunt goes to that isn't doing well financially so they asked me to fix their vacuum. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a place where I can get parts...

    Trash Find Dyson

Nice! I absolutely love my Dyson DC07! Works great and easy to take care of. The Dyson and Hoover self propelled Windtunnel are the two machines I use to clean my house.

    I saw something rather interesting.....

Today I drove by the Oreck store in Corpus Christi Texas about 45 minutes away from my house. I didn't go in, but I noticed they were also selling Miele vacuum cleaners! I think its very strange to see an "ORECK" store selling Orecks and Mieles in the same place. Could this be because Oreck...

    What's your favorite Dyson(S)?

Favorite Dyson.... Mine would have to be the DC17. Like dysonman1 said its the best for deep cleaning carpets because of the big brush roll with stiff bristles and separate motor to power the brush.

Dyson long term durability vs. other brands

Thanks For the info! Mine is for sure a later run model as its in like new condition. I had a DC14 for six years before I got the DC07 and I must say the 07 is a much better machine! Works better on floors and carpet.

Dyson long term durability vs. other brands

Here is the machine.... As you can see it doesn't say DC07 on the base like every other Dyson DC07 I've ever seen. Just wondering if anyone can fill me in on why.

Dyson long term durability vs. other brands

I have a question. Is there any way to tell the age of a Dyson by the serial number on the bottom? I have a DC07 and I'm not the original owner so I have no idea how old it is. Also my machine doesn't say DC07 anywhere on the machine! I think this is really weird...Maybe it was remanufactured...

    Vacuum Cleanup

Agitator cleaning.... I soaked my Elite II brush roll in bleach to sanitize it. That's after all the inside parts got removed of course.  I've also used those sanitizing wipes made by Clorox or Lysol with good results.

    Another awesome find!

@fan-of-fans It runs surprisingly well!  I think the last owner either took very good care of it or didn't use it that often.

    Another awesome find!

@super-sweeper You are correct! The serial number indicates it was made in 1992.

    Another awesome find!

Ha! I just meant it was quiet for an Elite! I paid 10 dollars.

    Another awesome find!

Just picked up a Hoover Elite II the older gray body white cord style machine at my favorite thrift store. Its only missing the dusting brush and the little square floor selector thing. Other then those two minor things its in great shape and runs smooth and quiet being the 5.5 amp motor. I'll...

    Replacing a Dyson

Sebo Not sure how much she is willing to spend, but I happen to Love the Sebo Automatic X4. Great for carpet/bare floor and has the best hose design I've ever seen.
