    I would try interchanging one part at a time and seeing if it solves the problem. Otherwise im sure you can find some troubleshooting literature on line, I tend to have to see the machine in person and go from there to offer advice

    Have an early 90s Kenmore (Whirlpool built) that I just did the exact same thing to! Granted I bought the parts locally, but I gave it a new lease on life. For an hour of work it was well spent for nice, dry clothes

    What cleaning supplies do you use in your home?

    We dont use anything fancy. Fabuloso or Pine Sol on the floors, Ajax for dishware, windex for windows, and pledge for woodwork.

    Originally used the W or Handisac bag. They have not been made for about 40 years and are heavily sought after. With some coaxing a type C bag will work, or F&G eureka.
