Steel city has a Johnson motor replacement Kit. But it's going to make the machine sound funny. I think you're better off to find a used vintage motor on eBay

@eurekaprince So we're vacuum collectors we enjoy having multiple machines. Probably most of us have hundreds by now. But the idea of using two different machines and somehow having more reliability is kind of flawed. That's actually more to break. Especially when we're talking about...

I think the D4 makes a lot more sense than the D1. An electric power nozzle is valuable! However if you wanted a turbo nozzle you might opt for the smaller E2. My thoughts precisely on that.

So a patriot might be for you. That's basically what a patriot is plus some other changes. The problem with using the TriStar body is there's not enough room to fit a central vacuum motor that would actually give it more power. Now you could probably fit a single stage Domel motor in there...

Hey I just wanted to share my Dyson DC17 with the good fooks here I was wondering if anybody's ever tested the suction at sea level? It's quite diminished up here at around 15" working and 50" Sealed.

These are really cool machines they're starting to get brittle. But if you can find one in good condition they're definitely worth picking up. I've been on the parole for one for a couple of years myself. Thanks for sharing the pictures of yours.

Sounds like a rumor to me. I would be very surprised with the current state of TriStar if anything else ever gets developed.
