    The Sweepers move rooms

Well I had to make some changes at the house, and one of them involved the sweepers moving bedrooms. It's a little tight, but they fit nicely. Now to find where I packed all my old advertisements during the move in August

    Sticky Electrolux hose

It's not just your upright hose...mine seemed sticky when I got it as well. I wonder if the plastic tool caddy has to do with it

    Sticky Electrolux hose

Remove the handle grip and you can soak it in a tub of hot soapy water, or put it in the top rack on the dishwasher

I think this should be recalled

If you have to use an extension cord for the heater, get a 20 amp rated cord

    Electrolux 1205 Motor Rebuild

Taking the fan off, I always wear a good leather work glove and hold the fan tight and level while using a socket to take the standard thread nut off. It may take some coaxing

    Electrolux 1205 Motor Rebuild

Personally, I have always bought my bearings at the local Auto Parts store. Armature sticks should be found at any QUALITY vacuum repair shop. Where in the US are you located? Many of our members have sought out good shops in different parts of the world, and can make a recommendation. For the...

    Electrolux 1205 Door Pops Open

No, Charles, the metal body machines all popped open. From the 1205 and on the door opened, AND the bag indicator turned on. The plastic body machines illuminated a full bag lamp and shut off.

1971 Sears Kenmore Rotorack portable dishwasher

Well for the time being, I have been using it with towels under the machine. It doesnt leak much at the door, but I'd rather have them there to catch the drips. Appliance Guru Hans Craig is trying to put me in contact with a friend of his who may have some original parts... But until then the...

1971 Sears Kenmore Rotorack portable dishwasher

The bottom left corner of the gasket actually has a gap of .5" under it, when the bottom right is nice and tight against the body. I followed the water drips along the side of the machine. The floors in this house are nowhere near level (its 100 years old) so I'll see if positioning it...

1971 Sears Kenmore Rotorack portable dishwasher

Well if there is one chore I just struggle to get myself to do, it's the dishes. My kitchen just doesnt have a spit in the cabinets I could sacrifice to install a dishwasher, so a few weeks back I decided to purchase a portable one. That idea died off when I found out a new one would set me back...

    Not-so-new Laundry Set

Kirbykelekter Yep, thankfully second rinse is on this model. Does a much nicer job washing my work clothes than the LG set ever did! Human, I was leery giving these tona friend because of the circuit board trouble that would be ahead, but they insisted it would be fine. They were leery giving...

    Not-so-new Laundry Set

Well, the Kenmore set is now onto its second load of laundry in the house, and I'm definatly pleased with them. They tried telling me I wouldnt want to listen to it running "with that noisy agitator" in my kitchen...it's music to my ears!

    Not-so-new Laundry Set

The agitator was actually repaired a year or two ago, and the dryer had a new belt around the same time. Glad it was all fixed before I got them!

    Not-so-new Laundry Set

Yes, I would certainly say I got the better end of the deal! Now I just need a chance to do some laundry, and familiarize myself with the setting of this washer. As much as I didn't like the LG smart washer, i was familiar with setting it to wash

    Not-so-new Laundry Set

Thanks Mike! As much as I would live to have some more vintage machines in the house, I'm trying to exercise self control and not let any of my hobbies overtake my house. 1000 square feet may be a lot for one person, but it fills up quick when you bring too many toys home!

    Not-so-new Laundry Set

When I bought my house, it had this LG "smart technology" washer and dryer set. I never cared for it, but I didn't have a set to put in when I moved, so here it stayed. Over the thanksgiving holiday, a friend mentioned they were looking at getting a new washer and dryer. Nothing wrong with the...
