Calling All Electrolux Service Experts! Electrolux 1205

Fred, I had this happen when I put a bojack hose on one of my older Luxes. I did exactly what Tom described and it worked. You just have to go slowly and I turned it up on the end and held the cord winder end between my feet. I was able to see using a flashlight and really small flat head...

    Electrolux Disposable Bag Advertising

Edgar thanks for the info. And yes, it would be wonderful to see more bagged vacuums come down the drawing boards. Many of my friends and work colleagues that jumped on the bagless craze about 10-12 years ago have switched back. They got tired of dust blowing around every time they emptied...

    Electrolux Disposable Bag Advertising

It would be nice to see vacuum manufacturers using disposable bags resurrect that idea. But if it costs money...……………………..

    Aerus Legacy wands

Blackheart, I am pretty sure you are correct on that. I can swap power nozzles on my Aerus Guardian Platinum with my Tri-Star CS, however I can do that with the Renaissance power nozzle or my LE power nozzle.

    Hoover Model 700

Beautiful 700 Charles! I remember that one at Fred's home in St. Charles. I'm glad it has passed on to another loving home. When Terry Lattz was still alive he really liked using that model. The condition is pretty pristine. Thanks for sharing and enjoy one of the newer additions to the...

What will the CCP Virus mean for Kirby?

Edgar, Maybe enough plastic to make it light enough to no longer need a power drive transmission? Something along the lines of the twin motored upright Aerus which is arguably much more versatile.

Bissell Ad in October 1967 Life Magazine

Can we go even more off track? My beloved 1965 Olds 98 with the 455 ultra high compression engine and photon torpedoes.

    In Your Opinion?

For me it would be the Air-Way Chief or Super Chief. (See my meme--the back two vacuums). The first twin motored uprights that debuted in the mid 1930's. They could be used with both motors for rug cleaning or with just the suction motor for above the floor cleaning. They had wood pulp...

Electrolux Three-Row Power Nozzle Brush Roll

Hey Charles, When my mother bought the turquoise hospital G, it came with the 3-row brush roll and the salesman used it as a sales tool. I was very impressed and convinced my mother we, "had to have it!", since they had wall to wall wool carpet and quite a few oriental rugs. She said to me, (I...

A Rarity You Don’t See Often

Karl, That is a beautiful hose! I wish I could find one like it for my G. That red tracer really sets it off. I had a hospital G like Tom's and the top of the PN handle was a slightly different configuration as seen in the pics. I talked my mother into buying one brand new. Wish I had kept...

    Better filtration for electrolux

Based on Bill's video now I want to try the Perfect bags. BTW, the evacuumstore's blue bags are called allergen bags. They have a white one that is called the HEPA bag.

    Better filtration for electrolux

Let me make sure we are on the same page here: Are you referring to the Home Solutions genuine Aerus/Lux blue bags? If so, I am referring to the blue bag made by evacuumstore that is NOT an Aerus/Lux product but their own unique product. The Aerus/Lux bag is paper, the evacuumstore bag is...

    The Electrolux Model G!

Hey Fred...………...you are spot on about Keith and his vacuums. Talk about being, "pea green with envy". His vacs are stunning. If I can't find them like Keith does then I try to make them look as good as his. And, you should know, about two years ago I found a really nice Renny. I liked...

    Better filtration for electrolux

There is a "blue" bag made by evacuumstore that is a HEPA C bag designed for Lux tanks. It is not paper but the cloth-like HEPA material similar to Kirby bags and others. IMO it is has very good filtration and provides superb air flow.

    The Electrolux Model G!

Lux Turquoise G and Super J Several folks on here, (Fred Nelson, Keith and Charles Lester for starters), inspired me to go to my storage unit and dig out these vacs for photo shots to share. My husband and I are building a new home and yesterday we went to see how it was coming along. The...

    I need some, "Royal Advice"......

Thanks Les! That 4000 is a beauty and I really like the headlight feature. Gives it kind of a more old timey look. Plus, that 10 amp motor must have incredible suction on a machine like that. After my post, I did do some research on Google but still the collectors here have more validity for me.
