Looking for parts for a Lewyt

is that one of the zappers? I'm wondering if that model is one of the zapper models, sounds like it might be. Mike

    water distiller

filters I'm guessing that's a commercial unit. Both of my distillers do have a filter that the water goes through before it goes in to the collection container. Using the filter is optional, it's not required. Apparently it removes some organic compounds that may have a boiling point at the...

Just For Fun: What is your favorite vacuum cleaner(s)

my favorite cleaners I don't have one cleaner in particular that is my favorite. I really like all of the cleaners in my collection. But certain ones do stand out. I love my central vacuum units, they are very powerful and if you connect a hose directly to them you have a super duper powerful...

Switches on appliances with unpolarized plugs

polarized plugs I've wondered what the point is of having polarized plugs in the first place. If it was direct current, it would matter since direct current can have a center positive or center negative connection. But with alternating current, it shouldn't matter. I actually have a few older...

    water distiller

one more distiller, and using distilled water in humidifiers A lot of us collect other appliances besides vacuums, my other interest is humidifiers, I posted my collection of those in a previous thread, but it appears that water distillers have become another big interest. I currently have two...

    water distiller

got another distiller I know many vacuum collectors collect other appliances as well, I also have several humidifiers and I decided to get another water distiller. This one is designed a bit differently than my first one. The one I mentioned in the previous post looks similar to a humidifier...

    Picked up a Quantum Upright

Sirena motor The motor is made by the Italian division of Ametek Lamb I think. The separators on all of these vacs also look really similar. Mike

    My first Numatic [NVR170]

another battery nozzle There's also the hide-a-hose CX1000, this is also known as the Volt nozzle. Mike https://www.centralvacuumstores.com/central-vacuum/tools-and-attachments/power-heads/battery-power-powerhead/hide-a-hose-cx1000-battery-power-nozzle

    identifying Eureka power teams

the boss Here is a whole play list of Eureka vacuum commercials, many of you will probably enjoy this, but it brings to mind another question. How many different models of the boss were there? I'm guessing the boss was always an upright, I've never heard of a canister called that. There are...

    identifying Eureka power teams

another power team commercial Here's another commercial about a Eureka power team, but I think this is a different one than the first commercial I posted. This one is really funny. Does anyone know which power team this one is? Mike

    identifying Eureka power teams

Ok, for the Eureka experts, was looking at some Eureka vacuum commercials, does anyone know which Eureka power team this is? I really like the suction motor sound on this one, sounds similar to the Electrolux super J. Mike

    My first Numatic [NVR170]

numatic cleaners Numatic makes great vacuums, simple design and works very well. The only thing they don't offer is an electric power nozzle but you could get one of the battery powered ones to use with it. I really enjoy my Henry cleaner. Mike

    Picked up a Quantum Upright

quantum The motor sounds like the same one as the canister model which I have. I think Quantum discontinued the canister model which is unfortunate, it's a very nice machine. Mike

    water distiller

Since I use distilled water in my humidifiers I figured I would try a home water distiller, has anyone tried these? I'll include a link to the one I purchased. Buying distilled water is not that expensive but if I can make it myself that would be nice. I'm making my second batch now, this unit...

Adding Sound Insulation to Central Vacuum Motor?

one of the quietest units If you're looking for a quiet unit, I would suggest the Drainvac Viper. It's only 58 DB, and that's with no muffler attached. You can have a conversation while you are in the same room. I do have to use ear plugs when I use one of my units, the Galaxie GA-240, it's a...

Did your friends/family love uprights and dislike canisters or vice versa?

some of both The first vacuum I remember us having was an upright that my mom and dad received from my grandparents in 1970 as a wedding gift. Not sure what model it was, it was beige, might have been a dial-a-nap. It had a dial on the front of the motor assembly to adjust the height. It could...

    Electrolux 1205

1205 I also have a 1205, a very nice machine, I love the motor sound on it, very pleasant. I'm guessing mine is a later model since it takes the electric hose, there is no outlet on the canister for a power nozzle cord. Electrolux made great cleaners, a simple design and very well made. Even...

    New Sebo Vacuum Cleaner

congrats on the new Sebo I think Sebo is one of the best vacuums, if not the best that is currently made. I know some don't like the X series because they don't think that the automatic adjustment works very well and that the machine doesn't clean deep enough. I think they make a series with a...

    SEBO Felix hose not sealed?

Felix hose That actually doesn't sound silly at all. If it spins faster after applying the silicone that definitely indicates there was a leak. When connecting the hose, it should snap in to place and provide a seal. Similarly, the other end of the hose should go in to the holder and be a snug...
