Well...
Most Americans would not see a Dyson until the following year (2002.) VERY shortly after 9/11, Fantom Technologies (maker of Fantom Vacuums) declaired bankruptcy and closed it's doors. Most baglesses at that time still used those messy tower filters. Hoover full-size uprights and...
Thank You!
Would you believe it was $5 in the basement of a vac shop? It's in close to mint condition, but I have no idea if it runs. I've had it for a while. I have neither the battery nor a charger.
It's been almost a year since I took the last photo. They are all together now in the basement after a ton of work to get them down there. I have about seventy machines now, down from 130 at the collection's peak. I'm mainly into high end/vintage canisters now.
It depends.
I've sold over one hundred vacuum cleaners through craigslist since 2011. With four and a half years of experience, here is what i've learned:

I don't think so.
Those are "bojack" bags, meaning they are non-genuine bags. If they are only one-ply, I wouldn't use them because they would leak dust terribly. I use HEPA Hoover Y bags, and glue them to an Electrolux "C" collar.
So true, kenkart!
I stated on Facebook that it's the ONLY reason why I don't own a new one. But, my Anniversary Edition from 1992 is a VERY powerful cleaner.
So on one of the Kirby threads on facebook, someone gets the idea that Royals were simply cheap copies of Kirby? Hasn't Royal been in the business LONGER than Kirby? And then, the Royal is like an old Kirby Sanitronic and EVERY Kirby since the 500 series outperforms the Royal. You have got to be...
